Great tour! - We fell in love with Comuna 13 and all the transformation that has been made around art and music! I 100% recommend this tour. You’ll get to experience public transport, cable car, metro, the Comuna 13 with all of its artists and a delicious popsicle! We went on a Saturday morning and the vibes were great. Our tour guide David was pretty nice and gave us great information and he got us to make our own graffiti signature!

Comuna 13 Graffiti - My visit to Comuna 13 to view the street art and daily lives of the inhabitants of one of the poorest areas of Medellin, was, by far, the best experience of my vacation. This turned out to be a very personal tour as I was the only participant along with my guide Santi. Santi himself was the most awesomely knowledgeable, caring and erudite student and teacher of all the past and present history of the area that encompasses Comuna 13 as well as it’s inhabitants. We had simply wonderful conversations about the the politics and socially relevant circumstances that went into creating such a uniquely vibrant and artistically creative atmosphere that arose even amongst the chaos and turmoil that has been Colombia’s past. Santi is like the mayor of Comuna 13 because he knows everyone and everyone knows him. You can just tell how well liked and respected he is and their good will towards him makes for an even more genuine and unique experience while you accompany him. He also made sure to introduce me to some of the simplest and best of the local cuisine such as potato empanadas, frozen mango pops with lemon and salt, and dragon fruit. The graffiti art was first rate and Santi knows many of the artists personally so he is very good at relating the meaning and intent behind their work. All in all, this is an amazing tour that really teaches you something about the real inhabitants of Colombia, their struggles, their artistic expression borne from those struggles and their unstoppable resilience and perseverance in the face of hardship and oppression. All lead by a compassionate and knowledgeable guide who both walks the walk and talks the talk. First rate!!!

Graffiti Tour/Comuna 13/MetroCable - Wow, what can I say... amazing very informative tour. Our tour guide Felipe was very nice and polite. As he drove he gave us some history. We met up with someone from the “barrio” who also took the time to give us some background info and his personal experience about living at the Comuna 13. Definitely recommend this tour safe and very kind people. Beautiful site.

Fantastic experience! - Everybody who visits Medellin should take this tour. Santi is a great guide who gave is a lot background information about Colombia and Medellin. At Comuna 13 we met the local guide Stiven, who showed us around and actually lives there. He told us everything about living in Comuna 13 and its history. He is a really passionate storyteller and his personal stories made this tour really special. We also visited the coffee bar of theost famous grafitti artists and tried some local drinks and food. On the way back Santi took us to a special memorial and cemetery. All in all we had a great experience and I highly reconmend it to everybody!

No show for tour - The tour operator didn’t show. I also messaged them and got no reply. I also emailed Viator requesting a refund and got no reply. Very disappointed.

Very Disappointing Experience - Having researched the many companies offering this tour we booked with Medellin Soul Tours to do this tour on our last day in Medellin. We received a text at 9.30pm the night before cancelling the tour but offering an alternative experience in Communa 13 with a meeting time of 8.15am the next morning which we opted to join. We arrived bright and early at the designated meeting place only to receive a WhatsApp message at 7.45am advising that this experience too has been cancelled. Fortunately we have been able to salvage the situation and book the tour, last minute, through another tour company otherwise we would have missed out on this ‘must do’ Medellín experience.
