An Explosion of local flavors you can’t miss while your in medellin - An absolute must for anyone coming to Medellin. You’ll have the opportunity to taste fruits that are not available anywhere in the US. Also, my friend and I were fortunate to have Alejandro as a guide. He was very knowledgeable and helpful during the tour as well as friendly. He gave us cue cards so that we can look for the fruit ourselves and match them with the cue cards which was very fun and entertaining. Also, the tour takes place in La Mayorista which is the biggest local market in the city, so if you decide to buy anything from them you’ll be helping local farmers, vendors, and local businesses. The experience overall was a 10/10

Our guide was Alejandro and not only explained the fruits but history about Medellin and the culture here. We recommend this tour 100%. We feel it is an “underrated” experience.
