San Sebastián de Palmitas, also affectionately known as Palmitas, is a countryside division, one of 5 corregimientos, found in the municipality of Medellin and is just a 45-minute drive from the city. It is nestled in the northwest section of the city and shares borders with a number of regions: San Jerónimo municipality to the north, Bello municipality and San Cristóbal Corregimiento to the east, San Antonio de Prado Corregimiento and Heliconia municipality to the south, and Ebéjico municipality to the west. Palmitas comprises 8 rural districts, called Veredas, and an Urban Head.

Soul and Mind Enriching Experience - WOWWW. Wonderful coffee tour!! I truly didn’t expect it to be as such an amazing experience. We had great food, coffee, and amazing people teaching us!!! Everyone at this coffee farm was so warm, hospitable and inviting!! The horse riding was so fun and they were so generous with the amount of time and also with taking pictures of us. Amazing and highlyyyyy recommend. I have so much more appreciation for the art of coffee making!! They also gifted us with a bag of ground coffee to make at home.

AMAZING - The best birthday tour! David was the presenter at the tour. He taught us so much about coffee, how they grow, and how to distinguish good coffee and bad coffee. Our driver Juan was also incredible, he had water for us, answered questions we had, and made sure we had a great time. We had lunch, they all sang happy birthday to me, and even gave me a treat. This was a wonderful experience.

Best Coffee Tour and Horse Riding Experience - This was an absolute amazing experience! First, we get to learn the history of the coffee bean and the traditional outfit they would wear to harvest the coffee beans. We get to wear the outfit and pick our own coffee beans and see the process from the fruit to the drying stage. I enjoyed the tasting of coffee and other drinks that were super refreshing! Ask for Amelia if you’re doing the English tour-she did an amazing job explaining everything and making it more exciting!
I highly recommend getting this coffee tour with horse riding! The guides were super helpful and reassuring with our horses and made sure we had many opportunities to take photos.
When you go, make sure you tip them well, it is not required, but they all do such an amazing job!

Amazing coffee experience in Medellin - This was an amazing tour. The explanations given and the food were equally amazing. We learned about the coffee industry from the farm to the table. We were able to bond with other attendees and we enjoyed a beautiful horseback riding tour.

10/10 tour!! - This excursion was so fun and enjoyable! Being picked up and dropped off at our hotel was super convenient, and the driver was very friendly and nice. The group for the day wasn’t too big so it’s still a very personalized experience. The gentleman who was the guide for the day has a lot of passion for his work, and he even said that when people say they enjoyed their time at the Finca, he feels all the emotions, which I thought was so nice to hear. The guide knows so much about coffee and the tour was very engaging and hands on. The horse ride was really fun too, a good 30 mins at the end of the tour.

Let the caffeine kick in - I'm so happy I did this tour and highly recommend it—don't hesitate to book! We started with an informative session about the history of Colombian coffee and the process of making it. Emilia was lovely and did an amazing job making the entire experience fun and informative. Her personality will bring you joy.
We then moved on to the tasting portion and enjoyed a nice lunch. This was followed by a blast of horseback riding. Don't worry if you don't have riding experience; they'll match you with a horse and have the staff escort you as you ride along. I had so much fun and learned a lot. I can't wait to go back with friends and family.

Fun and amazing experience! - This was an amazing experience from start to finish! The transportation was on time, the tour guides were very friendly and the food was great. I highly recommend this tour for anyone. It’s a must see!

Gorgeous views of coffee plantation/intro to process - Tour provides a lot of knowledge about the coffee picking/finishing process. Horseback riding was great and Nora was excellent at taking us around. Food/coffee sampling was lacking. Overall would recommend but may be a bit overpriced especially when comparing to the Guatape tour at half the cost
