- Plaza Botero - After gastronomy, it’s time for art and culture! We will enter the center with our bikes until we reach Plaza Botero, where we will make a special stop with a “Quiz”. You will answer 15 questions that will reveal fascinating information, stories and anecdotes about the city center. We will discover the statues of Master Botero, the monuments that surround them and their meanings…
- Coltejer Building - The Coltejer Building, an icon of Medellín, rises like a needle into the sky, reflecting the textile and modern spirit of the city. A symbol of PAISA progress since 1972.
- Junín - We will walk along La Playa Avenue, which intersects with the commercial street Junín. Here you will feel the energy of the street vendors who fill the streets with their products, their aromas and above all the incessant singing of their voices.
- Plaza de las Luces Medellin. - This emblematic place is a symbol of the resilience and transformation of the population of Medellín. Once known for its insecurity, this site has been rehabilitated to become a space of light and life, thanks to an innovative urban project.
- Parques del Rio - Heading towards the west of the city. We cross this East-West border by taking the “Parques del Río”: an example of innovative urban planning. This green and social space promotes urban cohesion, offering residents a place to meet, relax and engage in cultural activities, while defining the relationship between citizens and their environment. A quiet and ideal place to take beautiful photos.
- Conquistadores - Next to the Parques del Río, we will take you to discover a hidden gem of Medellín: the Conquistadores neighborhood. A flourishing place where peace and well-being reign. Here, plants are grown, creating a pleasant atmosphere for its inhabitants.
- Parque Belén - Dominated by its church, the park is bustling with shoe shiners, passionate domino players and newspaper vendors shouting the day’s news. You can also discover the “Greca”, the traditional morning coffee machine, a symbol of Colombian hospitality. It’s the perfect opportunity to observe the dynamics of Medellín.
- Comuna 13 - We arrive at the long-awaited last stop: Comuna 13! This neighborhood, now a symbol of peace and resilience, is located in the west of the city. Once considered one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the world, Comuna 13 was born from a population displaced from rural areas. Its inhabitants have endured numerous armed clashes and massacres involving the FARC, drug traffickers, paramilitaries and military forces, all fighting for control of the territory.
We will leave the bikes and set off on foot through the alleys of Comuna 13 to discover the stories of resilience that have reborn this neighborhood. We will see how urban art has become a powerful tool for transformation and discuss the leaders who have done so much for the community. Between rappers, painters and dancers, you will feel the energy of the artists and protagonists who have transformed this place into an internationally recognized work of art.
- Mirador comuna 13 - We will take you to a viewpoint known only to the residents of the neighborhood, from where you can contemplate the entire Comuna 13 and the city of Medellín. From here you can take incredible photos and reflect on the work of social transformation carried out by the residents.
- Cafe WAIKAO de la 13 - We will have a delicious tasting of Colombian coffee, using the Chemex or V60 methods. This experience will allow us to discover local initiatives up close and appreciate how the youth of the neighborhood progress by promoting the products of their country.
