Great photo opportunities in a beautiful park! - Such a wonderful way to experience Theodore Roosevelt National Park! The tour guides have extensive knowledge of the park and its history. We had multiple opportunities to see and photograph bison, wild horses, prairie dogs, rabbits and even a coyote! An exceptionally beautiful park coupled with a personalized guide allowed us to have a truly memorable experience!
I would highly recommend this tour!

Great morning in the Park - Chris and Gary were fun and flexible guides - we wanted to focus on wildlife viewing, and Chris knew where to find all of them down side roads etc. Got great pictures!

Excellent, flexible, and informative. - Incredible. The guide and co-owner, Chris, was knowledgeable, flexible to my preferences and needs, and was truly enthusiastic about the wildlife in the area and the conservation of them. She knew where to see the wildlife and give great photo opportunities. I recommend Chasing Horses without any reservations.

Wonderful Experience - While expensive, the Chasing Horses is worth it. My wife and I are very senior citizens and we did not want any long hikes. My take is that if you are a hiker, the tour would be even better. The crew is husband and wife. They are pure wild horse people and work hard advocating to keep the wild horses in Teddy's Park. It is hard to believe but the idiots in the dept of the interior want to eradicate or move all 193 horses. Round them up and sell them. Absolute lunacy. The park itself is gorgous, breathtaking at times. Gary take you around to the backside of the park and almost immediately you'll find a group of horses in the distance. Lots of Bison (don't call them Buffalos) We did come across a group of about 8 wild horses standing alone doing nothing. There was a young one and Chris explained quite clearly that this horse had left another group, joined this one and was not completely accepted as yet. She knows the names of every horse in the park. Later we were walking up a grassy ridge where another group of horses were feeding and a rather surly Bull Bison started gazing at us. He was all alone which is not good. We continued towards the horses no more than 20 paces or so and the Bison raised his head and kept looking at us. Gary told us to stop and we slowly walked away. The damn Bison followed us. He never charged but it clearly did not like us being there. We got back to the truck and Bison kept coming. He walked in front of the truck, looked our way and crossed the road. Now that alone, was worth the price of admission. Great people, a great park with wonderful wildlife.

Wild horses, Knowledgeable Guides - The Chasing Horses tour with Gary and Christine was all I hoped for, and so much more. They picked me up in front of their store and customized each aspect of the tour to my wishes. My main focus was the wild horses in Theodore Roosevelt National Park, and Chris and Gary know all the best areas to check. During my half day we saw multiple bands of horses, countless buffalo, a coyote, and prong horn sheep. Chris and Gary also knew where to find a golden eagle’s nest and we checked on a tree that had been a home for baby owls. (They were gone.)
The time flew by quickly, and I savored every moment. If you’re looking for a special activity while in Medora, I cannot recommend the Chasing Horses Tour more highly!

Knowledgeable horse advocates - We didn’t know what to expect on this tour, Chris and Gary were pleasant and knowledgeable about the park and the wild life. We really like horses and are not photographers at all, no fancy cameras. If you have camera equipment for photography then this would be a nice tour for that. We respected the efforts they have done in the last few years to keep horses in the park! We also appreciated the time they spent taking us around the different areas until we saw some horses!
