First, we visited Roman ruins in Borbilis. The ruins of mosaics and buildings spread across the vast grounds were breathtaking and gave us a sense of ancient history. The Guide's descriptions were also very detailed and helped us understand the background of the ruins. The next stop was Mourai Idris, a beautiful hilltop town with impressive white and blue buildings. We took a walk in a quiet atmosphere and got to know the local culture. Finally, we arrived in Meknes. Here we visited the lovely souks and the magnificent Bab Mansor Gate. We enjoyed the local food, especially the tagine. Throughout, the tour was very smooth, with plenty of time for each spot. The Guides were kind and answered my questions attentively. If you are visiting Fez, this day trip is definitely a Recommendation! It was a fulfilling day where I could fully enjoy the history and culture of Morocco.

Perfect solo travel day trip - Amine was a fantastic driver. Accommodated wherever I wanted to stop. He spoke great English and was able to answer any question I had about Morocco. As a solo traveler this trip was a perfect way to see the cities and sites. Highly recommend.

FEZ only - Fez is fantastic. A couple of days minimum. Meknes is being restored (January 2024) and the truth is that one day is enough. Moulay Idris is not worth it. It is a sacred place but it is attractive to secular people and I don't know how to enter mosques or madrasas. Making the trip to see them from the door is not worth it. The surrounding landscape is very beautiful. I would not repeat Meknes.
