Garden guided tour - Have been going to the gardens for years. Finally went on a wonderful garden tour with our tour guide Denis. Absolutely brought out a different side to the place, just the best.

A short tour of Cranbourne Botanical Gardens - A very relaxed and informative 30 min tour of the Cranbourne Botanical Gardens in an open air van Our visit was that much more enjoyable because our guide Peter was able to give us so much detail about native plant life throughout Australia and what was on show at Cranbourne Botanical Gardens

A fabulous day out with one caveat - We took two British visitors to the gardens to show them the Australian 'bush'. It was 35 degrees that day, but they managed to walk around the whole planted section for almost 90 minutes. They didn't want to take the electric tour bus. We had coffee before they set off and lunch afterwards. For lunch there were six of us (I had booked in advance). The restaurant is excellent, and the staff were efficient and pleasant. My one complaint is the inflexibility with the booking system for the electric bus. I had ordered three tickets in advance, but one of us couldn't make it in time/stay on after lunch. I was unable to get a refund or a pass for another day except by making another booking for a specific date. Who can organise another visit for that, especially if elderly and/or working and living on the other side of Melbourne? I did make a date, but the third person (who works) couldn't make it, so we have given up. I don't mind making a $15 donation to RBG/Cranbourne, but I would rather make it on my terms.

Great way to experience indigenous culture and cuisine - Great insights into indigenous culture and the sustainable approach they took to living with the environment using native plants for eating and medicinal practices. Maree was a fantastic guide who provided a great perspective on the history of the First Nations people.

Rainy day visit - It was a rainy day the staff gave us some big umbrellas and we enjoyed a walk through the gardens. We then took the explorer bus tour which was informative and the kids loved it.

Walk and Learn - Effortless representation of the Ab Lebens! Somewhat interesting were the remarks on the more than 250 language areas and the problems that result.
