4 of 5 star in retrospect- watch for talkers, crowds, kids, closures - Got there promptly and safely w kind driver. Surprisingly crowded for a Sunday morning. The timeframe was right for the visit. The springs had multiple venues closed- either private events, experiences you book on site like fire n ice or mud application, or broken/ being cleaned. Unfortunately you don’t know that until you walk the site. Same for the “spa dreaming” adult only zone- costs more. It would really help if they posted this at entry. There are lots of kids here- be aware. Meals at cafe limited but it was one of the freshest green salads I ever ate. There are other springs in this area- unsure of their entry policy.

Hot Springs adventure - The Peninsula Hot Springs Tour is one of the highlights to my holiday in Melbourne.. The driver, Chris ( Kiwi) enhanced the trip by his commentary of the history of Melbourne and sites along the journey. There were many options at the hot springs to enjoy the water. The grounds are beautiful and staff was very friendly .

PENINSULA SINGAPORE - "PENINSULA SINGAPORE" My first honeymoon trip with air hostess wife Sahansila onboard duty 25 years ago as a newlywed couple was sweet and super excellent. I was a well-trained Medical representative for world-class 1 pharmaceutical giant HOECHST after post-graduation M.Sc. After two years of engagement, I decided to get married to a well-socially and traditionally solid pure Newari culture and great functions for 10 days. I left my multinational job and joined an Indian company to visit my hometown in Kathmandu from Biratnagar HQ. Ummmmmmmmm...... We're just a newly married couple so I got my officially dependent identity card from my wife's airline Royal Nepal. I was awarded a complimentary flight ticket for KTM/SINGAPORE RA 401/402. We managed to fly onboard duty, my wife. I'd USD 200 bucks those days in 1998. We flew on a regular flight via Bangkok transit. This was my first international flight in my life. So I was very much excited. On board, I was well welcomed by my wife's colleagues' cabin crew who offered me business class although my seat was economical. I was well-served snacks with beers/ Scotch as it was a night flight following dinner. I was well drunk with my new suit. I was excited to land in the beautiful city of Singapore the city of Singha. We landed at Singapore Changi Airport early morning 6 am. We were transferred to the Peninsula welcome van to the hotel. Airport to hotel on the way all cabin crew including my air hostess's wife well busy napping. I was busy observing the early morning fresh and beautiful Singapore city as my first visit. Hey! Shanta! Where your accommodations were arranged? Hotel Peninsula Intercontinental. We're well welcomed by well-trained and well-dressed hotel staff. My wife and colleagues cabin crew team received their hard-earned allowances from the hotel reception in Singapore dollars. The hotel door was computerized. It was my first time to get my room key computerized. Happy. We slept a few hours in our room and got fresh by 10 am. We came down to the hotel breakfast restaurant with our cabin crew team including captain pilot and co-pilot. We're provided the breakfast coupons. The breakfast was international and ROYAL. Hmmmmmm......What? Beef? What's this? I asked my wife. She replied it's beef cow's meat. No. I didn't touch it. Cow is god for us. We worship as a god. We are Buddhists. We went to Sogo nearby after our great breakfast. Returning hotel we slept a few hours. Evening we went to China seafood market for our dinner. We bought a big crab live from an aquarium. It was tied with rope. A Chinese shopkeeper drowned it in a big boiling water bowl and served it with spices. We enjoyed a beer. I paid SD 30 for crab. A young white couple was looking for a big live frog in the aquarium. We don't eat frogs. The next day we went to Sentosa and Zoo. Evening we went to Singha. There were a lot of tourists. We visited the Singapore Museum one day. I photographed a snap with traditionally dressed Chinese ladies. In Mustafa, an Indian departmental store my wife bought a 24 k gold ring as a gift. Thanks, wife. On Sentosa, I was scared to see down from a cable car cabin. My wife suggested looking downward instead to go sightseeing. Ok. We observed marine life underwater eve. We have a lovely and healthy son Samrat Shakya,8 years old right now after a great struggle. He's an IVF test-tube baby from Sir Ganga Ram, Delhi. Time has flown away like birds. I wish I could fly with my lovely only son and wife to Singapore after 25 years. My wife is a retired IFS topmost manager Royal Nepal. No more job. We're happy. Our first honeymoon PENISULA SINGAPORE was sweet and memorable. Thanks, Hotel PENINSULA SINGAPORE and team.

Had a Great Time! - It was around 63’F (17’C) today in Melbourne and the hot springs felt so good! There are so many pools with different temps and even wet and dry saunas and cold plunge pools and an ice cave! The staff is very attentive and helpful. You can bring your own towels and robes or you can rent them there. We rented robes and a locker. The robes were very nice and thick. The grounds are lovely with tents a greenhouse rooms to also hang out in. Vicki our driver was great and provided super helpful info. The bus was roomy and the seats very comfortable.

A relaxing day out. - The day trip was very pleasant. The driver was helpful and accommodating and the Hot Springs experience was great to enjoy. We would have liked 1 more hour. We felt rushed to look at the clock to leave. It was short and 1 hr extra would have made it perfect.

Too crowded, too expensive. - Expensive for what you get Felt like a conveyor belt introduction on arrival Paid $120 ($50 extra to the general admission but got towel & dressing gown) to attend the child free area with expectation that it would be quieter and less people. Nope, too crowded. Greatly dislike having to listen to other’s conversations. Thought it would be quite and relaxing. Thought we’d at least get a bottle for the cost of the entry. Wet floors in change area, Lockers that wouldn’t lock, had to keep searching. Change area, no real privacy Only stayed an hour and a half Having said this, body was relaxed
