Highlights
  • Phillip Island Nature Parks - Koala Reserve - It is only a 1hr 45min drive from Melbourne directly to Phillip Island. On arrival you will be greeted by Phillip Island Nature Parks Ranger for a guided walk through Phillip Island’s Koala Reserve. You will be given a presentation about Koalas, history and relevance of the Reserve and the last area of natural woodland on the island.
  • Cape Woolamai - Phillip Island boasts a population of approximately 15,000 which is boosted during the busy tourist seasons. There are three main settlements being Cape Woolamai, New Haven & Cowes. Our stop at Cape Woolamai beach is seasonal subject to weather permitting and mostly visited during summer season.
  • Cowes - During summer time we often make time to wander through the coastal township of Cowes. Sheltered alongside the calm Westernport Bay this township was named after Cowes on the Isle of White. Beautiful seaside scenery, unique stores to peak into and many nice restaurants to purchase food. This stop is only due to timing restrictions in winter as there are less hours of day light.
  • The Nobbies Centre - Next, we arrive at the Nobbies Rocks where you can take a walk down the boardwalks to see the rocky coast and spot Penguins nesting in their burrows. Then we travel along the Phillip Island backroads through Phillip Island Penguin Habitat. Enjoy incredible views of the coastal cliffs on your way to the Phillip Island Penguin Parade.
  • Phillip Island Nature Parks - Penguin Parade - The main attraction of Phillip Island tour has always been the Little Penguins doing their daily ritual of penguin parade. These little friends are the smallest of its kind in the world. Enjoy sunset at the Visitor Information Centre and choose the right seat to have a great view of the main spectacles of the day — the Penguin Parade!

Outstanding Phillips island tour - Absolutely loved this tour. Fiona had great energy and was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. She was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about conservation, and had great recommendations about food, viewing sights, how to best see the penguins, and other things to do in Melbourne. Her passion for Australia and its roots is exuded in the way she talks. This was one of the least expensive Phillips Island tours, but I wouldn’t change anything about the day and am so glad I didn’t spend more because this tour was perfect as is.

Phillip Island Koalas and Penguins! - It was a great trip, we saw a lot and the pace was about right, would of liked a little more time at the Koala sanctuary (we had 55 minutes) as we would of walked around more of it and read the information boards but understood the need to keep on time to ensure we arrived timely for the Penguin Parade which was the highlight of the trip. Definitely glad we upgraded to Premium entry as was well worth it for the closer view of the penguins coming ashore. Our driver Joe was great and kept us informed on what was happening throughout the trip with regard to timings and info. Fab trip, highly recommended.

An awesome day - The Fairy Penguin parade is a must-see experience, especially in September when the chicks begin to emerge from their burrows. Fiona is a positive and enthusiastic guide, and she helped make the day that much more unforgettable. Thank you, Fiona!
