Absolute recommendation ! - What a great Experience! Daniel was our tour guide, he was so kind and informed us on every stop interesting details.
The Puffing Billy was fabulous!
Then we made some stops during the Journey to Penguin Island, so we had for example enough time for a Dinner und Walk at Cowes and a great Sunset at Nobbies Head! My favorite spot of all the tour😍
Penguin Parade was the perfect finish. We arrived about 23:30 in Melbourne.
Good time management all the tour!

Excellent day out - Guide today was Daniel. Fabulous day on Puffin Billy and Penguin Parade. Daniel explained everything and carried it out to the letter. Excellent experience on the Puffin Billy. Not to be missed by anyone. Penguins were delightful and rounded the day off. Thank you.

Superb excursion - Very friendly guide.
Trip in a bus of 24 people, suitable for a family trip.
The train ride is fabulous and the scenery of Phillip Island breathtaking.
In addition to penguins, we saw kangaroos and seagulls...

A Perfect Blend of Scenic Beauty and Unique Wildlife! - The Puffing Billy and Penguin Parade Day Tour was an unforgettable experience that perfectly combined history, stunning landscapes, and incredible wildlife.
we visited the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, and it was magical! Watching the adorable little penguins waddle ashore at sunset was heartwarming and an experience like no other. The setup at the Penguin Parade is well-organized, with plenty of viewing spots that don’t disturb the penguins’ natural habitat.

Fantastic wildlife experience - This tour was fantastic! The Puffing Billy steam train through the Dandenong Ranges offered stunning views and a nostalgic experience. Penguin Parade on Phillip Island was truly magical, watching the adorable penguins waddle ashore at sunset was unforgettable. The tour was well-organized and our guide was friendly and informative. Highly recommend for a perfect mix of nature, history, and wildlife.

Great experience but mini bus disappointing - The tour was advertised as a coach but a mini bus was our transportation. Not a comfortable 9hours for a family of 4 who are all 6ft-6ft5.
The Puffing Billy was a great experience but because we were on the last train of the day and it was running 30min late, it was a rush to get to the Penguin Parade. No time for dinner as we went straight to the viewing platform. Penguins were magnificent though!
A great experience but not for tall people on this size bus.

Nice views but bad organisation - Our tour started too late in the morning. The train ride was impressive and a lot of fun.
Our tour guide seemed a little overwhelmed at times and initially gave unclear instructions as to when the bus ride would continue. However, this changed and at the other stops he made clear when the journey would continue!
Next we drove to a wildlife park which was not included in the booked tour. You had to pay an additional entrance fee if you were interested. In my opinion, this stop was unnecessary. In addition, the onward journey was delayed because some people in the tour group did not keep to the agreed time and the tour guide had to look for everyone individually.
The next stop was in the city and was intended for us to go to a restaurant. However, we only had 30 minutes, which was definitely far too little. Again, some of us didn't make it back to the bus in time.
Unfortunately, the tour group had to wait at least 10 minutes for certain people at almost every stop. It would be desirable for the guide to give clear instructions here and make sure that people arrive on time!!!
The viewpoint was really impressive and we saw lots of penguins.

Too Fast paced , not enough time to enjoy - The trip was too was fast paced.
Firstly we had booked a morning 10 am tour which was changed to 230 pm trip at last moment. Secondly, the puffing train got delayed by 30 mins due ti which our Phillip island visit was cut short. We could hardly get time to eat and visit the penguins

Disappointing experience - Disappointed. Timings listed are not accurate and should be updated for summer / winter activity. Tour actually left at 12.30 and returned at midnight ( due to when the sunsets). This left us with lots of ‘extra time’ for just hanging around.
Our tour guide also spoke in broken English which was difficult to understand, especially for people who don’t speak English as their first language. There were 23 of us on the tour.
The train ride lasts for 25 minutes departing from Belgrave (sit on the side facing the station - it has better views).
The penguins were a lot more artificial than I was expecting with big boardwalks and decks and hundreds of people which made it feel very invasive.
