Really good day with a friendly, knowledgeable, caring driver - The driver arrived at our hotel door early, was welcoming and friendly. The car was comfortable and clean. The driver was knowledgeable about the area and able to respond to all of our questions. He took us straight to the entrance of each destination, helping us find the entrance and meeting us when we exited. He was friendly and interesting and generally fun to be around. He was a safe driver.

Full day tour from Heraklion Port - Let me start by saying Sakis was a great driver and very considerate and accommodating. We stopped at Kera Kardiotissa monestary, what a tranquil and peaceful setting with fantastic views. From there we moved on to Zeus caves. They are a nice attraction and a good walk up to see! We then saw some ancient windmills with an option to eat lunch there. We visited a nice olive processing facility where they had visualizations of the entire process. We moved on to our final stop of the day Knossos palace. We had all the time we wanted to explore all locations. Sakis was very patient! I want to add we stopped for a couple photo spots enroute and ice cold bottled water was provided throughout the tour. What a wonderful tour! Highly recommended. We wish Saki and the family all the best in the future! Definitely recommend.

Recommended - This tour is a great way to visit Heraklion and the best attractions over there, the drive is about 2 hours each way but the driver was smooth and the car modern. This is definitely worth it if you aren’t looking to drive to Crete.

Amazing experience - We had two amazing private day trips with Leonidas whilst on family vacation in Crete. We went to the Heraklion museum, Knossos Palace and the cave on one day and had a fabulous trip to the mountains on the other. Leonidas is simply great. Very knowledgeable, a very good driver which one appreciates when travelling with young children and he took us to excellent lunch places. He even sourced car seats for our children which was very much appreciated. I highly recommend Crete Wanderer to anyone. We had a great time. Thank you, Leonidas!

Memorable tour - Our tour guide Leo was very professional and knowledgeable about the Cave Zeus and Knossos Palace which was very helpful. In addition, Leo took us to a couple more destinations along the way, time permitting. The restaurant Leo recommended for lunch has excellent seafood which we requested. Overall, an excellent experience of Crete! Leo also arrived on time and he is very friendly and professional.

If you don't want to rent a car, get this tour! - We had an amazing tour!! Leonidas was an excellent guide and driver. He took us to the perfect lunch spot too. We debated renting a car and once we decided not to, we opted in for a full day tour instead. And I’m so glad we did that. Took away the stress of driving and we were able to explore more of Crete than just Chania, so worth every penny. Thank you, Leonidas!

A lovely day - The Museum in Herkelion is amazing. It is full of everyday objects and princely pieces all well organized and explained. Clients should be aware that this adventure does not include guides, just a driver who is as personable but not an expert on the sites.

Don't book with people who act in bad faith - Due to inclement weather, our cruise ship did not stop in Crete, and we found out the morning of the tour. We immediately contacted the operator Leonidas and offered to proceed with a partial refund that would cover all of his expenses and preparation. He refused, offering only a discount on an indeterminate future tour that we both know is unlikely to ever come up. Whether or not he had a legal right to refuse refund, I would want to book with an operator who is genial, empathetic, and collaborative, and Leonidas showed himself to be none of those things when he realized he could earn easy money without providing any service.
