Great tour to learn about history and take some lovely photos - Absolutely brilliant tour - the bus picked us up right from outside our hotel and dropped us back at the end of the tour. Our guide was fantastic and took us through the history of Marsaxlokk, the Blue Grotto and surrounding areas.

A Great half day trip - A fantastic half day tour from beginning to end picked up on time taken to our guide John (said to call him that as easier) and a bigger coach first stop Marsaxlokk market a bit tacky but interesting to see all the fish being sold nice to see then on to the caves which was the highlight perfect day for the boats loved every minute a must see when in Malta and then on to another small village very interesting great guide

A Maltese weekend - In the place to visit. Many places on the banks of the port where you can enjoy good fish. Lots of stalls where you can spend time and buy something.

Very beautiful, especially in September, not too many people and not an overwhelming heat - The view is sublime, go there early as soon as the sun hits the water for the best view and also avoid the crowds.

superb visit to do - Superb visit to do. We parked in the village car park. Even if it is very crowded there are sometimes 1 or 2 places. Payment for tickets is made on site in cash, otherwise there is an ATM on the way to the ticket office. everything is well signposted.

Wonderful trip - The trip was very well organised qnd Donna the guide was very professional and approachable. We loved everything: the market, Blue Grotto and a village walk. The guide spoke very interestingly about local history, culture and traditions. I read previous reviews and some were very negative about timing. I don't agree with these opinions. It is stated clearly it is 4 and a half hour trip. I think with sun beating down that is enough. Ufortunately we were delayed by few participants who were not keeping to the schedule. The boat guide was professional and entertaining too.

Disappointing. - We found this tour boring. We had to be at the pick up point at a certain time but then we had to transfer to another coach, after waiting for our guide to arrive and then join a larger group. I did not expect so many people in the group. Marsaxlokk was a disappointment. There was a market at the waterfront. Very busy and full of stalls that all sold the same things. The Blue Grotto was closed due to the weather and we ended up walking through a small town for 15 minutes.

One poorly run tour at best - Very unorganized- no one was holding a sign to identify the tour- finally someone showed up 10 min late to check us in. Still took another 20 min to find all of the people. Once started- too many kids with parents not paying attention and over talking the guide. Should be a min age and or the guide should control the side bar noise. Once on the walking tour part- the guide had a speaker and mic which only projected forward and the string of people didn’t allow for about 90% of the information to be shared. The fishing market was a dump and nothing like what we expected in terms of local crafts to be sold. It was cute however while viewing the waterfront but the hand me down garage sale junk was mostly for sale. Not worth it. The blue grotto was most interesting with the boat ride not included- should be. Having time there to swim as an option would have been fun. We have some very good Viatour experiences and on our trip we have had two awful tours- product is way to variable in terms of client service and content quality. This particular trip was one of the worst. Still waiting on a resolution for our Rome Coliseum tour that was a total screw up and no real Viatour support on that.

Give the Fish market a miss. - Unfortunately the sea was to rough for the boats to sail. That's life, and we fully accepted that. These things happen. However the trip to the port was an utter let down. We were there 28th April. Getting to the drop point in the coach was chaotic, there is simply not the space. The actual "Fish Market" was ok but could hardly be call a market in the true sence of the word. Yes there are stalls selling fish but not to any Trade buyers that we could see. Plus the place was swamped by other market stalls selling all of the usual Tourist Tat at prices greater than else where. The port was completely packed with visitors , goodness knows what it is like in full summer. The town was grid locked with the traffic.
