If you're an Elvis fan... it's a must do - We had a awesome look through Elvis's home in Gracelands. If you're an Elvis fan and you can get there, it is an absolute must!!
Is like wondering through a time capsule, such a buzz.
And all the museum parts across the road which is included is just great. You need the whole day, maybe longer to look through it all properly.

The Singh of Rock & Roll at the King's House! - Graceland has been on my bucket list of places to visit so while in Nashville on business I took Grayline Tour by bus which was great courtesy of Frank our driver and guide.
After a 3hr bus ride watching Elvis films we arrived. Our VIP passes were waiting. Our tour of the house that is Graceland was based on a time slot so we were ferried across the road from the visitor centre by bus.
After a short film our group of 15 was directed by the frienfly staff into the house. Inside it has been recreated to how it was during Elvis's final years in Graceland in the 1970's. It is smaller on the inside but all the rooms and memorabilia are evocative of the King. From the lounge to the TV room to the jungle room all downstairs as there is no entry upstairs. Audio guides are available but I preferred to read the panels around the house.
There are a number of outbuildings too and some great photo ops including outside the front which is very busy. I did unlike others slip into an Elvis costume and get some photos. The staff and other visitors applauded my efforts and got photos of a Sikh Elvis outside Graceland!
Then back to the visitor centre and the many museums showcasing Elvis' life. From his clothes to his cars to his planes and even his tractor.
A chance to try his favourite grilled (not fried) banana and peanut butter sandwich before it was time to go. Overall an amazing experience and 5 hours well spent. This is a must do for any music fan.

Our tour of Graceland 1/8/2025 Happy Birthday Elvis!! - Graceland was a place that my husband and I both had on our bucket list. It was great! I have always been an Elvis fan and getting to see where he lived and all of the memorabilia was really something. I would love to go back and be able to take more time. But overall it was an amazing time and I would definitely recommend going!

Iconic must-do when in Memphis. - Great to visit this iconic place. My wife and I paid extra for a VIP tour with tour guide and private bus for a small group. You can pay less for a self guided tour. (should be fine).
Plan to spend over three hours. You can spend the whole day if you want to see everything Graceland has to offer.

An AMAZING day being a Presley for a day. - I was part of a group of eight friends on the Presley for a Day VIP tour of Elvis Presley’s home Graceland. We were separated into two groups of four and assigned a tour guide. Our group had two guides. Our main man was John. John is AMAZING! He is passionate about Graceland and imparting his knowledge of it and the Presley family to his visitors. As well as John, we had Bobby with us. He is an experienced Graceland guide who was training to work with VIP tours. He was also great and filled us in with some bonus information on top of what John was giving us.
This is a relatively new type of tour for Graceland. We had access to the archives,Elvis’s airplanes, horseback riding, Elvis’s automobile museum, career history, awards, wardrobe and a variety of other iconic material.
We were treated to a Gourmet meal created for us by Chef Sonny. It was absolutely delicious!
Finally we were treated to a private tour of Elvis’s Graceland home. Fantastic!
All of this was brought alive by John and Bobby’s stories relating to every aspect of the items I have mentioned.
This is a well planned out all day event.
I am very thankful to John, Bobby, Sonny and the many other staff who made this a day to be relished.
I highly recommend this experience!
Thank you to the staff at Graceland.
PIGGY
(P.S.
I can move into Moriah’s house at a moment’s notice.)

It's Elvis Presley but be prepared to part with $$$$ Book online to secure your time - I mean it's Elvis Presley, cheapest ticket is around $50 and that does not include the house so for around $90 you get house and museums. Tour is only about 45 mins for house and then you can self guide the museums and ridiculous amount of gift shops. A big shaft is the extra $10 to park after you just paid $290 in entrance tickets. Total duration was around 4 hours and that's after not spending your time looking at every exhibit and reading all material. There are food options also on location but we did not purchase food. Is it worth a few hundred dollars. Yes probably but would not need to go again

An enjoyable trip to the past - We purchased the 9 a.m. Elvis Experience tour and prepaid parking ahead of time. Note that they didn't open the parking lot until about 8:45 a.m. Once they opened, everything was very smooth. They took us to a theater with a short video about Elvis, then to tour Graceland, and then to the various museums on the property.
For me, one of the fun parts of touring the house was just being taken back to the 1970s. Almost everything in the house reminded me of the 1970s, from the shag carpet to the tiki furniture to the style of the TVs.
The other highlight of the tour was the museum of Elvis' career. We enjoyed the various outfits, looking at some of the gold records, and watching the mini-concert in the little theater at the end.
Also, the gift merchandise was about the same price as on Beale Street downtown, so if you see something you like, it might be worth picking it up.

Horrible - The basic and lowest priced tour is $85.
The staff here is awful. They don’t direct you where to go, or help, everyone is grouchy, and it makes the experience not fun. They are all standing around, giving you side eye, but no one engaging with guests or actually helpful.
We spent a half hour sitting outside waiting on a tour bus, and it never came. Then while in the house, the woman tells us we have to walk to the right first, not here, this direction first…. It’s a SELF GUIDED TOUR.
I won’t come back. Loved the grounds, house was interesting. People who work here HORRIBLE.

Hostage situation - It was wonderful going to Tupelo and visiting where Elvis was born and raised ! However the “ lady “ running the tour was both very rude and extremely authoritarian!
I declined to order lunch whilst on the bus/ coach as only burgers were on the menu and thought that I’d be able to explore local alternatives! No this was not allowed to my dismay ! Other people on the tour also turned down this limited menu , which was at an additional cost to the overpriced transport cafe/ diner which was akin to cells , I visited in Alcatraz a few weeks ago !
I thought that at least I’d get a small beer whilst I waited but only limited soft drinks were available! I therefore asked if I could leave the party to go outside for a cigarette, I was told by the “ tour guide “ that I was not allowed outside of the bleak Spartan environment that was loosely described as a restaurant! I was also informed that I could neither go and sit back on the bus / coach and had to remain for approximately a hour in this breeze block built ex car showroom feeling like I was being held hostage until, fellow passengers had finished their meals ! It was the worst experience of my nigh on six week tour of the USA. There was no explanation as to why this was happening and made me feel very uncomfortable indeed. Would not recommend this tour to anyone who values any sense of freedom or liberty !

Elvis’s birthplace and... - Elvis’s birthplace and the museums were excellent, and the staff there very friendly and informative.
Our guide was not very personable, I don’t even know her name as she never introduced herself to our group. She was curt and borderline rude in addressing myself and others on the tour. For instance, when the AV equipment failed during the trip to Tupelo from Memphis, and the very enjoyable movie was interrupted and unfortunately never finished, there was no offer of apology, and no explanation of what efforts were made to repair or replace the equipment during our time at the museum. When asked by myself and others if we’d be able to see the rest of the documentary on the ride back, she was very dismissive and seemed annoyed by the requests. She suggested an alternative of listening to Elvis music on the ride - this was from her personal playlist on her phone and could only be heard by the people sitting immediately next to her on the bus. The rest of us sat in silence for the 1&1/2 trip back to the hotel.
The lunch offering was a buffet style build your own burger. The buffet was not set up when we arrived. Once set up, the line moved extremely slowly due to the majority of the guests being elderly and being slow at navigating the buffet which was ticket in a corner up against a wall. This resulted in a very cold hamburger and fries and a lunch that lasted almost as long as our time at the museum. A more user friendly lunch option should be considered and more time should be allotted to see the Elvis related locations that are intended to be the focus and highlights of the trip.
I would highly recommend a trip to Tupelo for a true Elvis fan. I would rent a car and spend more time at his birthplace and museums than this trip allows. I would also enjoy stopping at other points of interest rather than doing a drive by, such as at Johnny’s roadside cafe and Elvis’s school to name a few. I would also enjoy what was described as “the amazing food in Tupelo” rather than a disappointing cold hamburger.
