Loved every minute of our visit - Paronella park was amazing, such a beautiful place to visit with an equally beautiful history behind it. Built by a man & his family on dreams of giving people an amazing place to relax & enjoy lush green surroundings. Our tour guide Carolina was full of knowledge & the history of Paronella, very lovely lady. So foe a “small fee” 🤭 I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful park.

Amazing mix of nature and stories - Carolina took us on the day tour and evening tour - gave us all the history of the amazing grounds with a good few dad jokes thrown in. This place is like nothing we’ve seen before. We got a bonus sunset tour with our Tropic Tours guide Simon - seeing Paronella park in 3 different lights was a unique experience.

Just excellent - 1.5 hours out of Cairns, lots of parking, with friendly staff. The park is just amazing, and if you are lucky enough to get Bill as your tour guide. You'll have the best time! The fish and turtles enjoyed the fish food which was given to us when we arrived. The museum is very interesting. Highly recommend getting a bite at the cafe (try the salad rolls). Lots of shade, so a good walk, even on a hot day. Both waterfalls are great with lots of viewing areas.

Paronella Park - Don’t miss this gem - I wasn’t sure what to expect at Paronella Park but can definitely say that it was a good decision to go. We booked a combined caravan park and admission ticket and from arrival we were well looked after. We were directed to our pitch and found the amenities were close by and were clean and tidy. We were shown around the park by Carolina our guide who although inexperienced was great, informative and fun. In the evening we went to the sound and light show and enjoyed it, if a little short. On our departure the next day I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and chatting about his vision for the park and related projects. All in all a must visit

A romantic vision in more ways than one - This park was the vision of Jose Paronella in the 1930s who was a true visionary, self made man and entrepeneur. Structures including various "castles" were built with reinforced concrete which is now showing its age in a tropical climate, but it must have been something really special in its heyday, with hydroelectricity, ballroom, cinema nights, concerts, gardens, swimming and icecream! A flood in 1946, fire in 1979 and various cyclones have all served to reduce his vision to a romantic ruin along the lines of a Capability Brown landscape in the UK, but this place still has a real charm of its own and is certainly worth a visit. There is a cafe, gift shop and reguarl 30 minute guided tours which really add value to the experience.

A must see. - Awe inspiring. Worth it for the gardens alone, although the buildings and stone bridges, staircases and plazas are magnificent . Oh if that ballroom could talk. Well worth supporting the welcoming owners who are renovating this bc ack to its former glory. Ps the frozen chocolate covered bananas 🍌 are a must. Great coffee shop too.

Very disappointed by Les - First extremely overpriced. However we had Bill through the day as our tour guide and he was incredible. He makes that park brilliant! Feel lucky we had him. Come the night show asked Les if we could take a photo of the waterfall after the show. He rudely and abruptly said ‘No not really’ I was like ok. He said ‘Hurry up then’ My daughter and I walked down and quickly got a photo. Then to return and Les say ‘oh we are way ahead of schedule’. Extremely disappointed the whole night was rushed too. Seems like Les just wanted to get out of there as quick as possible. Might need to rethink who you employee. Very disappointed and due to Les we will not recommend to friends or family or our large social media following. My daughter felt very frazzled by how rude and abrupt Les was and was quite upset. Les needs to ask Bill for some tips as he completely ruined our experience.
