Confluencia Camp to Plaza de Mulas
Parque Provincial Aconcagua - Depart Confluencia early for a challenging trek to Plaza de Mulas Base Camp. The 6- to 8-hour journey offers incredible views as the climb reaches 4,300 meters, one of Aconcagua’s main camps.

Rest Day at Plaza de Mulas
Parque Provincial Aconcagua - Spend the day recovering and exploring the camp surroundings. A mandatory medical check will ensure readiness for the altitude ahead.

Acclimatization Hike to Cerro Bonete

Descend to Plaza de Mulas
Parque Provincial Aconcagua - After breakfast, pack up and head down to Plaza de Mulas, taking in the stunning scenery one last time.

Return to Mendoza via Penitentes

Description
Standing at 6,962 meters, Aconcagua is the tallest mountain in both the Andean Range and the Americas, making it a top destination for climbers worldwide. Located in the Argentine province of Mendoza, close to the Chilean border, this majestic peak is part of the Aconcagua Provincial Park in the Arid Andes.
The massive mountain features two main summits, north and south. At its base, several valleys can be found, including Quebrada de los Horcones and Quebrada de las Vacas.
During this 12-day expedition, participants will follow the normal route to the summit. While this path is not technically challenging, it is important to note that the climb is demanding and requires excellent physical fitness. Below is the itinerary for the journey.
