- Parque Provincial - Mirador Del Cerro Aconcagua - The Aconcagua Provincial Park is a protected area located in the Argentine Andes, near the Chilean border. It features the majestic snow-capped Mount Aconcagua, one of South America’s tallest peaks. Visitors can embark on a trail leading to the Los Horcones lagoon and the Quebrada del Durazno. The park’s high altitude provides a habitat for the magnificent Andean condors. Nearby, the Puente del Inca, a natural bridge of orange stones, spans the Las Cuevas River.
A short trek to the Mirador Aconcagua, situated at 3,400 meters, is available, along with an optional longer trek of approximately 50 minutes to the end of the La Laguna trail. This trek leads to a hanging bridge and a river’s edge amidst the mountains. Following the trek, lunch will be enjoyed in the caves sector at a restaurant housed in an old building (lunch not included in the tour price).
- Laguna del Inca - Nestled among the snow-capped Andes mountains, the stunning Laguna del Inca is an emerald-colored lake adjacent to the oldest ski resort in the Americas. It captivates visitors with its breathtaking landscapes, rich flora and fauna, and significant cultural heritage.
Legend tells of Princess Kora-llé, the most powerful woman in the empire, and the Inca warrior Illi Yupanqui, who fell in love and planned to wed on a peak by a clear lagoon. Tragically, during the ceremony, the princess fell and perished. Overcome with grief, the warrior placed Kora-llé’s body in the lagoon, and as it descended, the water miraculously turned emerald, matching the color of the princess’s eyes.
