- Taman Ayun Temple - Taman Ayun Temple is a complex of Balinese temples and gardens with water features, situated in the Mengwi subdistrict of Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia. The temple garden was showcased on the television program Around the World in 80 Gardens. It is a splendid family temple of the Mengwi Empire and is among the most frequented temples in Bali by both local and international tourists. Located approximately 18 km north of Denpasar town, it is conveniently positioned beside the main road connecting Denpasar to Singaraja. Taman Ayun Temple is also one of the six royal temples in Bali, making it significant both spiritually and historically.
- Luwus - Explore the coffee and spice garden, and discover the unique and traditional methods of coffee production. Enjoy complimentary tastings of teas and coffee.
- Bedugul - Bedugul is a mountain lake resort located in the central-northern part of the island near Lake Bratan, on the route between Denpasar and Singaraja. It is situated in Tabanan Regency, 48 kilometers (30 miles) north of Denpasar city or 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of Singaraja city. The Bedugul area enjoys a mild mountain climate due to its elevation of about 1,500 meters (4,900 feet) above sea level. Key attractions in Bedugul include the Ulun Danu Temple (water temple) and Lake Bratan.
- Bedugul Market - The traditional local market in Bedugul is also a must-visit. Here, visitors can see and purchase fresh fruits and seasonal produce such as strawberries, rambutan, pineapple, spices, red rice, and more.
- Jatiluwih Green Land - Jatiluwih village in Penebel District, north of Tabanan, features paddy fields that follow the contours of terraced land against the stunning backdrop of Mount Batukaru and Mount Agung. These fields utilize the traditional Balinese irrigation system known as Subak, a community-based water management system. Situated at an altitude of 700 meters, Jatiluwih is one of the five rice terraces that exemplify the “Subak” water management system, which has been recognized by UNESCO as part of the world’s cultural heritage.
- Tanah Lot Temple - Tanah Lot translates to “Land in the Sea” in Balinese. Located in Tabanan, about 20 kilometers (12 miles) northwest of Denpasar, the temple is perched on a large offshore rock that has been shaped over the years by ocean tides. Tanah Lot is believed to be the creation of the 16th-century Dang Hyang Nirartha. During his journey along the south coast, he admired the rock-island’s beautiful setting and decided to rest there. Some fishermen saw him and brought him gifts. In addition to Balinese mythology, the temple is heavily influenced by Hinduism. At the base of the rocky island, venomous sea snakes are thought to protect the temple from evil spirits and intruders. The temple is said to be guarded by a giant snake, which was formed from Nirartha’s selendang (a type of sash) when he established the island.
