Great Private Tour - Wonderful experience with our driver, Merta. Our cruise ship tendering process was delayed, putting us at the port at noon rather than the scheduled 9:00 AM time. Our driver waited for us at the port, then rearranged the scheduled tour to maximize the sights we could see within the time allowed. As a result, we did not see come things on the itinerary, but saw others instead. Although our tour was to end at 6:00, Merta took us to a wonderful seaside restaurant where we had dinner of fresh-grilled fish on the beach. It was a delightful day with a very accommodating driver.

We started early at 08:30 am from our Legian cottage and been to many villages, arts and crafts center, learned about batik, saw the silver factory, purchased a beautiful landscape painting, saw the rice terrace, had lunch watching Mt Batur live volcano and Kintamani lake. While returning to hotel had a memorable trip to lewak coffee plantation, tasted many kind of teas of native ingredients, purchased ginger and lemon tea, then finally visited to wood crafting center at Mas village and purchased a beautiful woodcraft of Goddess Sita and finally headed to cottage. The driver Agung was friendly and knowledgeable.

Our tour guide, Putu was wonderful... -
Our tour guide, Putu was wonderful. I appreciate that he wears traditional Bali clothing and hat and really knows the history of the island as he is driving one through the beauty that is Bali. His English is quite good and he is truly informative, as well as being a very safe driver. This day was wonderful as we were able to visit 3 ancient temples that are beautiful. I suggest anyone coming to Bali take this tour and be certain to end the day at Tanah Lot for the sunset view.

Our Tour Guide Din Din was so good, he would always explain everything and best of all he speaks well in English. he even took pictures of us using his cam and twas as if he was a pro in photography. The sights on the tour were well... -
The sights on the tour were well worth seeing so it was a good day. There is a lot of driving though and traffic can be very bad. Personally I was looking for some commentary along the way between sights as we had no explanations at all so apart from seeing some amazing temples we didn't learn anything much. The sunset at Tannah Lot was great as the clouds cleared at the last moment. The lunch option was appalling, we were taken to a 'tourist-trap' style buffet that was 100K each with cold mainly inedible food with tax and overpriced drinks added to the total. It would be much better to either go to a real Indonesian style restaurant rather than one catering for tourist buses. All in all a good tour but not spectacular.
