Good time all around - I think the cenote at Ik Kil was my favorite part, but it was also amazing to see Chichen Itza. Wilbert was a great tour guide.

More quality and less quantity would have been better. - Chichen Itza and the cenote are worth seeing, but we would have preferred a more focused visit to Chichen Itza. Everything was rushed and it was difficult to absorb the information. Each lecture was given in Spanish followed by an English translation. So it lost some of the depth and clarity. The lunch was adequate, but forgettable. The tour bus was too crowded to get more than an average grade. The guide was knowledgeable, but the format was mechanical.

Swimming, eating and historic sites - The best part was jumping in the water and walking around the huge historic site with a guide. Would recommend people this tour. Dont miss out on the swimming as it is beautiful under the strong Mexican sun!

If you need advice read this - We left playacar and spend the full day and had dinner. Unfortunately the travel time was longer than the time spent admiring the ruins. Lunch they told us it would be free but I had to pay 200 pesos for 2 bottles of soda and 1 bottle of water which is extremely expensive for a Canadian. So get you to drink. Also take note to take organic cream and organic mosquito repellent because at the ruin you will have to pay 250 pesos for their mosquito repellent. Because these no accept anything non-biological for nature. Also be careful you will have to pay 60 pesos more if you have a professional camera and will not be able to bring plastic bottles please bring you thermos so you do not have to pay on site and fill them before leaving this is acceptable. Then be careful you will get harassed for their memory that you can buy the same anywhere in Mexico. Be careful they take advantage that you are tourists and sell them to you 3 times the price than normal. Ask the guide if you want to buy it will tell you where it is the cheapest. Also please note that all the excursions that you will make you will get your head filled by guides who earn only bread butchers and that you must give tips to all the excursions that you will make. This discouraged us but the ruins are definitely worth it if you take everything into consideration. Also bring you an umbrella if you don't really tolerate the heat because it doesn't have much shade and the places that have shade there are souvenir sellers so if you stay there you will become their best friend and get harassed again to buy. Then they take you into town to buy alcohol they say it's free to taste but then you feel like you have to pay. If you do not want I advise you to bring some pesos and give them as a tip for tasting. The alcohol they sell is sold all over Mexico. But positive ruins are great.
