Merida area tour - We had a great time! Saw lots of birds and crocodile/alligators. Pink pools were awesome with the flamingos. Weather could have been better. Food was great as well as the mango margaritas. Finished off with a chocolate croissant!

Interesting sites, but only when the weather is nice! - The sites were very interesting, but this is definitely an activity that one would enjoy best when the weather is warm. Unfortunately we got rainy, cold weather, and many of us were too cold. The tour guide switched back and forth between English and Spanish, which made it difficult to follow. And her English was so-so. Our boat guide spoke very little English, and he spoke quietly. It was difficult to hear him. I expected him to explain more about the wildlife and fauna, but he didn’t.

Long day - Just great! Only one complaint, the trip was too long. Over 12 hours. Organizer should cut some time from all the places visited.

Good for bird watching, boat rides, pink flamingos and colorful salt ponds. Long bus ride from Merida though.lt ponds - Las Coloradas is an interesting place. I didn't realize it's a salt production facility before taking the trip. It's a pretty pale pink, so don't expect bright red hues. The boat ride on Rio Lagartos was fun and we saw lots pink flamingos, many other kinds of birds, place a hungry crocodile up close and personal. The Playa Cancunito is rather isolated and remote so no worries about crowds. Waves were pretty choppy for our day there, so lots of dodging waves. We skipped the mud treatment. Late lunch was rather mediocre so don't expect much.

Full Day On Yucatán Coast - I enjoyed seeing Las Colorados, Playa Cancunito, and the boat ride in Rio Lagartos. These areas are beautiful. The pink reflected water in Las Colorados was fascinating and there were many nice props in several areas to take pictures. In Rio Lagartos it was warm weather, a long boat ride, and it was so nice seeing the Flamingos, eagles, herons, and crocodiles up close in the water. The company had a nice high quality set of binoculars to share and see the birds and other wildlife up close. Play Cancunito’s water was so clear and the sand and seashells were beautiful. I enjoyed the tour about 95%. I would have given 4 & 1/2 stars but it’s not an option. Other Highlights: The tour guide was friendly, I appreciated the stops for bathroom breaks and food along the way leaving and the stop on the way to use the bathroom for participants returning. The tour guide translated (I was the only English speaker) information along the way to me such as related to stops and next up place or activity information. Improvements: The van didn’t show up initially until about 12 minutes after displayed pick-up of 7:00 but other tour company vans did going to different locations and I was a little nervous but that informed me “they haven’t left the office yet”. It would be nice if the company is prompt or early. I didn’t learn much about the science of Las Colorados which I was interested in which was a little disappointing but did get a few details from the guide about how salt is produced from there. We did not spend 2 hours here, maybe 40 minutes, and again more history of the place in English would be great. The worst part of the tour was the Maleconcita restaurant. The food was horrible (salty) and bland. The others at my table said their food wasn’t good at all and some people had to wait a while to get their food. On the plus side, their drink prices were very reasonable which I was actually surprised that the price was that low (not included in tour) and the portions were nice. The lady who was delivery food, drinks, and the bill seemed friendly. What’s interesting is there seems to be a seperate menu for the tour than the one on their website. I would recommend the tour and feel that it was worth the money.
