Merida Walking Tour with Fernando - Fernando did a great job despite the heat, humidity, and 20 guests! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to walk with. I will say though, I will look for a smaller walking tour in my next destination. Any city can be a noisy place so, walking and talking with 20 people in tow makes it difficult - if not frustrating - trying to hear everything he had to share. Plus, there is a ton of street construction going on in Merida right now. Ten guests is really the maximum that can feasibly walk around together between the construction. Still, 5 stars for Fernando!

Nice, concise tour of historic downtown Mérida - When we all joined at the meeting point the company split us into English and Spanish for the appropriate guide. Our guide, Gabriel was very welcoming. He gave good information about the historic buildings and history and also about more recent, modern things. He also gave excellent tips on where to eat and other things to do and see. He texted me before the trip to establish contact and offered for me to email him at any time during my stay if I had any questions. I did text him several days later with a question and he answered me very promptly. Very hospitable and above and beyond in my opinion!

Good trip but it's free for on the spot bookings, so don't waste money here - Good experience - the guide was knowledgeable and humerous. But the reason I am giving 3 star instead of 5 is apparently this tour is free of cost, only runs on voluntary gratuity but Viator charged me a hefty 380 pesos!!! I found this disparity quite dishonest. Besides the description of the tour mentioned entry included in many places but we hardly entered any sites. Other than that, the guide's English and historical knowledge was top class and thanks to his timely information I was able to watch the enactment of Mayan ballgame
