• Beatles Statue - BEATLES STATUE BY ANDY EDWARDS: The first stop is the Beatles statue by Andy Edwards. Take the opportunity to snap a selfie with this impressive tribute to the Fab Four, set against the backdrop of the Three Graces buildings, including the Liver Building.
• 12 Arnold Grove - GEORGE HARRISON’S CHILDHOOD HOME: As you head out of the city to Woolton Village, you will pass by George Harrison’s birthplace and childhood home at Number 12 Arnold Grove.
• Woolton Village - WOOLTON VILLAGE AND CLUB: Woolton is a historic village dating back to the Domesday Book of 1086 and holds a special place in the Beatles’ story. It is home to St Peter’s Church, John Lennon’s childhood home, and the Grade II listed Woolton Village Club where the Quarrymen once played.
• Menlove Avenue - JOHN LENNON’S CHILDHOOD HOME: The tour will stop outside Mendips, 251 Menlove Avenue, where John Lennon lived with his house-proud Aunt Mimi in the 1950s. This house is now a National Trust property. Entry tickets are not included in this tour and must be arranged directly with the National Trust.
• Forthlin Road - PAUL McCARTNEY’S CHILDHOOD HOME: Often referred to as the birthplace of the Beatles, Forthlin Road is where Paul McCartney lived for several years before rising to fame. This house is also a National Trust property, and entry tickets are not included in this tour and must be arranged directly with the National Trust.
• St. Peter’s Church, Woolton - ST PETER’S CHURCH HALL, CHURCH, AND GRAVEYARD: St Peter’s Church, where John Lennon was a choir boy, is a special place for Beatles fans. You will see the church hall where John and Paul first met and may even step inside. Your guide will show you around the nearby graveyard, pointing out gravestones rumored to have inspired Beatles songs, including Eleanor Rigby. Liverpool Football Club fans can also see the gravestone of Bob Paisley, one of the club’s most successful managers.
• 11 Smithdown Pl - PENNY LANE BARBER’S SHOP: “In Penny Lane, there is a barber showing photographs.” The tour will stop by the barbershop, known at the time as Bioletti’s, mentioned in the first verse of “Penny Lane.” You will have a chance to take a photograph yourself.
• St Barnabas Penny Lane - ST BARNABAS WHERE PAUL McCARTNEY WAS A CHOIR BOY: As the tour approaches Penny Lane, you will see St Barnabas Church, where Paul McCartney was once a choir boy.
• Penny Lane - JOHN LENNON PEACE STATUE BY LAURA LIAN: This thought-provoking sculpture by Laura Lian, created in 2018, is a life-size bronze tribute to John Lennon. It was first displayed in Glastonbury before traveling around the UK and Europe, finally being installed outside St Barnabas’ Church.
• Strawberry Field - STRAWBERRY FIELD: Visit the iconic Strawberry Field, which had a significant influence on the Beatles, especially John Lennon. You will have free time to explore the garden, see the original red gates, and visit the cafe and gift shop. Entry tickets to the Strawberry Field exhibition and garden audio tour are included, where you can see John Lennon’s piano and many Beatles artifacts. Elvis fans can also enjoy a display of artifacts courtesy of Graceland, Memphis.
• 10 Admiral Grove - RINGO STARR’S CHILDHOOD HOME AND MURAL: As you head back towards the city center, you will see Ringo Starr’s home at 10 Admiral Grove in Toxteth. Nearby, you can view an impressive mural by John Culshaw, unveiled in 2022, covering an entire wall.
• Penny Lane - PENNY LANE: Everyone will want to take a photo with one of the most famous road signs in Liverpool.
• Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts - SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES OF THE BEATLES: Hope Street and the surrounding area are rich in Beatles history. Here, you will see the grammar school that Paul and George attended and the art college where John and Cynthia Lennon studied. These Grade II listed buildings are now part of Liverpool’s Institute of Performing Arts.
• A Case History - A CASE HISTORY SCULPTURE BY JOHN KING: ‘A Case History’ is an intriguing sculpture by John King, known locally as ‘The Hope Street Suitcases.’ Each case is labeled with its famous owner from the Liverpool region. Can you find the Beatles’ cases?
• Liverpool Cathedral - LIVERPOOL ANGLICAN CATHEDRAL: You will pass by the magnificent Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, the largest in Britain and the fifth largest in the world. Hear about its special connection to the Beatles.
• The Philharmonic Dining Rooms - PHILHARMONIC DINING ROOMS - AS FEATURED IN PAUL McCARTNEY’S CARPOOL KARAOKE: The tour will take you to an area of Liverpool that was the Beatles’ early stomping grounds. You will see the pub where John Lennon spent many lunch hours and the Philharmonic Dining Rooms, as seen on TV during Paul McCartney’s appearance on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke.
• Hard Days Night Hotel - HARD DAYS NIGHT HOTEL: Located in the heart of the Cavern Quarter, you will see the world’s only Beatles-inspired hotel, the Hard Days Night. Housed in the magnificent Grade II listed Central Buildings, dating back to 1884, the hotel features life-size sculptures of John, Paul, George, and Ringo on its facade.

• The Cavern Club - THE CAVERN CLUB: The tour concludes outside the Cavern Club, regarded as the birthplace of the Beatles. Learn about the club’s role in musical culture and take a photo against its backdrop. You can choose to return to the Cruise Terminal or finish the tour here, with an option to pay at the door and go inside the famous music venue. You will then make your own way back to the Cruise Terminal, a 10-15 minute walk.
