Very interesting Beatles history. - Our guide was excellent. Very informative and knowledgeable about Liverpool and especially the Beatles. We learned insights about the Beatles history and facts that were never published back in their heydays of the 1960’s. The walk takes about 2 1/2 hours but places are close by.

Perfect tour for our stop in Liverpool - Really fun, thorough tour! Our guide Paul took us through historic Beatles landmarks and told us many background stories. He was friendy, and careful when we met to remember our names and where we were from. Really a top notch guide and tour!

Mike is an All-Star Guide - Making a pilgrimage to Liverpool is a sacred obligation for boomers, and this tour helped us better understand not merely who the members of the band were as human beings, but how they became "The Beatles” and how "the Beatles" happened. It was far more than just a catalog of places in Liverpool the Beatles had been. It provided history of the Beatles that many people would not know; it effectively placed the members of the band (and Brian Epstein and George Martin) in the context of 1950s and 1960s Liverpool and England; it took us to landmarks that had been important in their development as musicians and as an ensemble; and it made oh so painfully clear that the world in which the Fab4 grew up, found their musical voice and a global audience, is long gone. The vibrant Liverpool of 2024 is nothing like the war-ravaged Liverpool that molded John, Paul, George and Ringo. We did this tour on 16 September. Our guide, Mike, did a fantastic job portraying the young men who became gods to my generation, as ordinary, goofy, unworldly kids trying to make their mark in music, and then struggling to cope with the realities of super stardom. He humanized them in numerous ways. A factoid that sticks in my mind is that young John and Paul would travel all the way across the city by bus simply to meet a person who could show them how to play a new chord on the guitar. And he demonstrated that the phenomenon of "The Beatles" was not pre-ordained or inevitable, and owed as much to serendipity and good luck as to the personalities and talents of the four guys. I tip my hat to you, Mike. And I strongly recommend this tour.

Get to know more than just the Beatles! Get to know Liverpool too... - Allan was a great tour guide. He knew so much about the city which was an added bonus when we thought it was just going to be about the Beatles. It was the perfect blend of getting to know the Beatles and getting to know the amazing city of Liverpool. Highly reccommend this tour and taking it with Allan.
