You will get a hands-on understanding of coffee production from beginning to end, including picking berries, processing, shelling, grinding, roasting, and brewing! Tanzanian peasberry coffee beans are treasured worldwide for their unique flavor and aroma.
If you like your cup, you can roast some coffee to take away as gifts for others. You’ll also learn about the Meru traditions around coffee, and how it became a staple crop in the region.
You’ll also learn about the work of our company, empowering orphaned and vulnerable children and families in the Meru region, and all proceeds will go to their support.

Delicious and Informative - Reuben was a great guide and ambassador of The Small Things. He arranged transportation and provided a great coffee experience and introduction to the work they do with children and families in the area. Would recommend the experience.

Great discovery! - Had a great time discovering the process from the plant to the drink. Reuben was very knowledgeable not only about coffee but also about his tribe and plants around us. I arranged pick up /drop off with him as I didn't have a car.

Great tour - This tour was really great. Everybody was friendly, information about coffee history, planting, harvesting was very interesting. We had fun with peeling, roasting and cooking coffee. Reuben told us about the work of The Small Things, impressing and hopeful.

Unforgettable experience - We booked the coffe tour with them and we also visited the organization. Reuben, our guide, was great! He organized the transfer from our hotel for us and he took really good care of us.
Making your own coffee and drinking it is a nice experience, but the best thing is the people we met over there and the great things they are doing for the local children and families.

Great experience! - Throughly enjoyed the experience from picking the beans right through to grinding and roasting the beans to having an amazing cup of coffee. Reuben was the best! I will never drink my coffee without thinking of where the beans came from. Thank you Reuben!!!

Private coffee tour - We had a wonderful day, touring the coffee plantation, seeing how the local
people process coffee.
We had a tasting if the coffee. We helped to roast and grind.

Coffee Like You’ve Never Experienced! - This was a wonderful and informative experience. Reuben was very knowledgeable and gave us the opportunity to participate in the entire process from picking beans to grinding and tasting. I would highly recommend this tour. Nice tour - We spent a very pleasant afternoon with Reuben and part of his team.
The food was very good, the experimentation of making coffee is worth it and above all Reuben's friendliness throughout the tour, telling us what they do there and how we can help and contribute.
