Merzouga Desert - Overnight Camel Trek in Merzouga is spending the night in a desert camp, and watching the sun go down over the sand dunes.
This overnight camel trip starts from the Hotel in Merzouga in the afternoon (4–5 p.m., depending on the season).
The duration of camel ride takes about an hour and a half to get to the Desert camp, which includes a break to rest, climb the dunes for great views of the sunset, take pictures, and sandboard.
Once you arrive at the camp, they will serve you mint tea in the traditional way in the desert as a welcome. You’ll spend the night in a Berber Beduin tent.
After enjoying the views of the golden sand dunes, you will have a traditional dinner. Then, you will engage in the Berber party around the campfire listening to the desert drums. Finally, you can get to your private tent under the stars.
Desert camp - camel trekking - meeting point
Merzouga - Early in the morning, getting up to see the beautiful sunrise over the dunes is worth it.
After that, there will be a full breakfast and a hot shower in the camp. You can choose to take camels back to the Kasbah Hotel in the town.
