Merzouga Desert - Embark on a journey from Fez to explore the vibrant culture of the Berbers in southeastern Morocco, passing through the Merzouga desert. The adventure begins in Fez, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” After a brief city tour, the journey continues to the cedar forest in Azrou, where visitors can encounter Barbary monkeys and capture memorable photos while feeding them. As the route traverses the Middle Atlas mountain range along the Ziz Valley, there will be opportunities to photograph Morocco’s second-largest palm grove, stretching over 150 km. A lunch break at a local restaurant is planned before proceeding to the Erg Chebbi dunes in the quaint village of Merzouga. Upon arrival at the hotel, guests will be welcomed with mint tea and can check in to freshen up before embarking on a camel ride across the dunes, culminating in an overnight stay in the desert.
