Skip the Others Tour and Just Do This One - I found Markos by chance while looking for a 'shore excursion' when our Disney shipped stopped in Santorini. The shore excursions on the ship sold out quickly and were all 40+ people per tour and that was not what we were looking to experience in this beautiful island. Especially since we wanted to get away from *those families* if you know what I mean. After a little searching I stumbled upon I am Santorini and everything seemed super promising. We could see what we wanted, experience what we wanted all for a fraction of the cost and it would be private! I reached out, he responded quickly and with enthusiasm. I booked the tour for our family and hoped that it would all work out. He reached out a few days before, we exchanged numbers (to communicate via whatsapp - not necessary but definitely makes it easier), and arranged a time/location to meet. We made our way to the front of the line for the tender to the port and made it up the cable cars early. We contacted him and he was able to come a little early since we were there already and it was starting to get hot. Markos is amazing. He is friendly, great with children and just fun to talk to. The car was clean and he provided insight and history of the island as we drove around. Since he is the driver and the guide he will have to drop you off, park the car and then meet up with you again. Which he did very smoothly. We saw blue domes, churches, vistas, his home town, etc. and then he took us to a wonderful restaurant right on the beach. It was one of the best tours we've been on, and that is mainly due to Markos making everything so easy. I would highly recommend him to couples or a family looking for a great tour of Santorini. (As an aside: Definitely do not fear if you are on a ship and need to get down the cable cars, he is very aware and drops you off in plenty of time, and worst case you can walk down on the cliff trail, if the line is too long. We ended up doing that, and have since blocked that part of the journey out, but we made it in about 25 minutes - as we didn't want to stand for 2 hours in the hot sun)

Great tour guide that listens and is great with family - Marco was very knowledgeable and accommodating and understanding of having a family to conduct a tour that would not be harsh or grueling. He took us to places off the beaten path and provided great views and insight of the rich culture of Santorini. He was considerate of our 9 year old daughter in including the Tour of Atlantis which was interactive for kids. He is a great photographer and took great memorable photos that enhanced our experience and provided them at the end. He gave a car tour of spots popular and identified time wasters as we had a half day tour and still was a great experience listening to our needs and accommodating the tour accordingly. Marco is friendly, great with the kids, highly experienced. I highly recommend him for your next tour!

Best tour of Santorini by far!! - This was an amazing experience for my family of 6. From the moment Marcos met us at the hotel he captivated all of us. His tour of the island was unforgettable and his knowledge of the area was impressive. He was able to tailor the tour to exactly what we were looking for. We would all highly recommend!!

Wanted a Guide - Got a Friend! - I selected Markos for our Santorini tour almost entirely based on the many people who left him five star reviews. They were not wrong. From the moment I booked him his demeanor and communication was excellent. His responses to my many inquiries were always prompt and accurate. Even before meeting him at our agreed upon time and place, I was confident I'd made a good decision. Markos is a character, and I mean this in the best way. He genuinely loves people and his island. He is a talented storyteller and passionate student of life. If you have a question about anything, he'll have a quality answer. And I do mean anything. I intended only to secure a good guide but ended up acquiring a new friend too. It's hard to put a price on something like that!

Back Alleys, Blue Domes and Lunch with the Locals - We had a blast with Markos exploring the back alleys and hidden sites on Santorini. His love of the island was infectious. A highlight was our traditional Greek lunch with Maria and her family near the lighthouse.
