Lovely wine experience - Excellent tour of this small family winery in a small group. We were hosted by the son of the family who then led the wine tasting. It was good to sample wines made with local Cypriot grape varieties. It was an interesting, while light hearted tasting of six good wines accompanied with crackers, cheese and olives. For keenies, further detailed information was readily available, and we had a good conversation. Good value at €5 for the tour and €10 for the tasting.

Excellent English…really informative - Read about this winery and found out that it was easy to reach by public transport from Paphos. Bus from Karavela station which bypasses the Mesogi industrial estate.Winery closes for lunch so check the opening hours. Tried some of their wines for €10 with a small plate of olives and crackers. A very interesting selection of wines…the Valentina rose was excellent. Would definitely visit again if I wanted to get some good Cypriot wine….and a stop off here could be combined with an earlier trip to the Tsangarides winery in Lemona if you wanted to use a €6.50 one day bus pass as the bus from Lemona would stop at the Mesogi no: 4 bus stop in front of the gym/health club on the main road on the way back down into Paphos.

Amazing! Must go! - Great experience at Fikardos - we had the wine tasting (8) and the tour which were both great - the host Leonardo (Son of the original founder) was amazing really nice person who was both informative and attentive. The star of the show the wine was incredible, personally recommend the Cabernet Sauvignon which was to die for. A must do experience when in Paphos and to support a relatively small business! We ended up buying 2 bottles which were very reasonably priced and very very very good! Thanks again, we will be back!

A taste of Paphos. - This was an excellent tour & tasting session run by Fikardos Winery. If you have some spare time in Paphos this is well worth an hour or two of your time. Our guide was the immensely likeable Leonardo, perhaps the youngest son of the founder of the winery. His talk about wine production was fascinating & the wine tasting session was a delight. We can thoroughly recommend this tour.

Wine tasting but no tour available! - My wife and I booked for winery tour and wine tasting for Wednesday afternoon at 4pm. We arrived ten minutes late after taxi took a detour to pick up her son. On arrival we apologised for our late arrival and were invited to join the wine tasting. Young Mr Fikardos was very welcoming and informative about all the 8 wines we tasted. My wife asked about the tour and was told that the tour wasn't available today. We were both disappointed that the tour wasn't available especially as we had booked the previous day buy thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting anyway.

Disappointing tour. - We were really disappointed with this tour, especially as we had only booked it because of the positive comments read on TripAdvisor. Leo, our guide and co owner, was anything but enthusiastic and engaging . He met us and another party in reception and took us all straight into an area where there were some barrels on display. He started to tell us about the barrel storage process then asked if we had any questions. The tour had no defined start to it, no introduction to other guests on the tour and we would have expected to find out how long the winery had been open, why his dad decided to move into this line of business, information about the wine market in Cyprus and even where the grapes are sourced from. None of this was given as an introduction to the tour. We moved into the plant area where he showed us machinery which is used for the pulping process and this was okay as long as we kept the questions flowing so he was able to share information with us in response to them. The wine tasting was great and the nibble platter was excellent. However, you only received two small sips of each wine which was barely enough to get a real flavour for the taste. We did buy two bottles though as it was very inexpensive. Be prepared for an expensive round trip fair if you are travelling from the harbour as we didn’t expect to be so far away from the winery and we paid €50 round-trip. In summary, it killed an hour during cold weather but it was an expensive hour of not so great entertainment.
