Embark on an exhilarating journey to the underworld, the once traveled path of Charon carrying souls, and unearth one of Greece’s most captivating locales. Accompany our knowledgeable guide as we traverse the sources of the Acheron River and tread its pristinely clear waters. The Acheron River represents a serene haven boasting natural pools and cascades, ideal for a rejuvenating dip. The expedition begins with a tour of the ‘Necromanteion’ archaeological attraction. It proceeds to the Acheron River Springs and the grand Heroic mountains of Souli, where we will trek to the imposing castle of Kiafa and investigate the historic mills of Souli. Ultimately, delight in the taste of Souli’s traditional gastronomy in a quaint village. It’s a day excursion that will remain in your memories forever!

The most perfect day of my life (so far) - Georgios is truly a phenomenal guide! I’ve wanted to go to the places in this tour for my entire life, and Georgios is enthusiastic, accommodating, and knows such extensive history that he contributes to this tour. We went on a lot of tours in this region, and I’ve been on a lot of tours in my life, but Georgios and the underworld tour was the best ever and I will remember this for a long long time. Next time we visit we will definitely be sending a message to Georgios to see if there are other tours we can join him on!
Also, my partner and I did get engaged on this tour, which was perfect for a couple of grown up goths like us. Not only did Georgios facilitate the perfect space for us for this life step, but he was so genuinely enthusiastic for us and celebratory with us.
Thank you again, Georgios, we hope to see you again! And if you’re thinking of taking this tour DO IT!! You will not regret it!

Exposure, views and time with a local in Epirus region - This experience provided another perspective of Greek mythology and history. It ended with an authentic Greek meal at a local taverna. Georgios at Epirus Adventures is passionate about Greece and it shows. If you’re looking for a deep historical/archeologic experience this isn’t for you, but if you’re visiting Parga or surrounding area at the tail end of your trip (as we were) and you’re satisfied with what you learned on prior stops, then this gives you exposure, views and time with a local who is authentically interested in sharing Greece with his guests..

All-in day - The guide (George) took my friend and I on this tour. He has great knowledge about the area and brings you to the pearls of the river and village Souli, where you can eat the best lamb chops. 10/10 would recommend.

A fantastic tour - George is a great tour guide and a really nice guy. He knows so much about the area that he makes every stop on the tour come alive!
The Acheron Springs offers an exceptional experience and should not be missed if you are in the area. The tour of Souli and the subsequent stop at the restaurant provide a delightful conclusion to the excursion. The restaurant's menu boasts a diverse selection of delectable local dishes, catering to a wide range of preferences. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour.

Perfect first day - Georgios was an incredible guide on this amazing excursion. We were very excited to experience the wonders of the Acheron River and necromanteion. However, we found the best experience for us was getting to see how beautiful the landscape of this area is, the trip to Souli and the local cuisine was outstanding! We could not ask for a better guide to the more authentic side of Greece! We would recommend this day to anyone in the area.

Immortal? - A powerful feeling with the clear, rather cold water and the high rocks all around. We were there around 10 a.m. and then there were only a few people there. Then tourist buses rolled in and then it immediately became a little less awesome

Excellent trip - What a great trip we had today.
Giorgos is a competent guide and a very nice person. He is knowledgeable and flexible, so we adjusted the trip to our liking.
Giorgos is a person that you instantly feel comfortable with. He is absolutely not just after your pocket. You get the feeling that Giorgos want you to have a great experience first of all. Can only recommend Epirus Adventure.

A day to remember with Epirus Adventures - We spent a wonderful day with Epirus Adventures. George our guide is extremely knowledgeable about Ancient Greece and more recent history. He brings it to life with great enthusiasm. Walking in the Acheron River (which, legend had it, flowed to the underworld) was a unique experience in truly stunning scenery. Swimming in the river in crystal clear water was an added bonus. George then took us to Souli where we learned of the history of the brave inhabitants of this mountainous village who struggled against the Ottomans. Here he took us to a charming local restaurant which served delicious local fare. We were also fascinated by the first stop on our trip, Nekromanteion. This is a most wonderful experience and we would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

A wonderful tour and great adventure. - This all day tour by George was excellent. It could not have been better. Our party of 6 all agreed that this tour was the best of our 3 week trip. George was very knowledgeable and very friendly. We were all very happy with our experience and would highly recommend this to everyone.

Brilliant and informative day - George was a great and knowledgeable guide. Very friendly and makes you feel comfortable as soon as you meet him. He is so keen to help even when the tour is finished!
