We met Consuelo as tourists and left as FAMILY ❤️❤️❤️ This was the HIGHLIGHT of our 2 weeks in Europe! - If you book this tour, BE SURE to specifically request Consuelo Cavazza. It was purely by luck that we were matched with her and I am not exaggerating when I say the afternoon we spent with Consuelo was an absolutely MAGICAL day and the #1 highlight of all of the things we did travelling through Spain, Greece and Italy (and we had tons of fun on our trip-but this was the best)! It was like an arm chills and happy tears super cool day. She picked us up in her cute little yellow car right by our cruise terminal. She brought us to the Messina Cathedral just in time to see and hear the bells, an experience you will not want to miss! And when we entered her beautiful home, the table was perfectly set and there were appetizers set out for us. It was very obvious that Consuelo has done this many times before and knows EXACTLY how to make strangers feel welcome in her home. She has a cute little dog, Nina! Consuelo speaks some English but to better facilitate communication she invited her friend and her friends daughter (Italians who had spent some years in the US) to join us and it was just perfect! The food was amazing but the conversation was even better. Consuelo is simply a good human and it shines through in every way. We had appetizers on her patio and some kind of fruity (delicious and I don't even like fruity) drink that was amazing. We chatted and just hung out, looking around her amazing property that includes several buildings, a chicken coop and even a peacock! We even met her sweet Mom! We ate lunch in her dining room which was delightful. We talked for quite some time and just thoroughly enjoyed their company. This trip was a graduation present for my daughter so it was my husband and I and our daughter and every one of us considers that day to be the best we spent on our whole vacation. If you book this (and if you don't you're nuts) request Consuelo, I am certain you will love her like we did. We will return to Messina one day, if only to visit with her again!

An experience we will never forget - It’s honestly difficult to specify the most memorable moments from our visit with Cesarine but the welcoming interaction and hospitality we experienced is something we will never forget. The food was outstanding and bountiful. Her puppy was adorable as well.

Amazing Cesarine tour - We had an amazing experience with Mariella. Her tutorial while preparing the food was very informative and using translation apps we spoke to each other without any problems and had lovely conversations and enjoyed getting to know about the area of Messina, the food and preparation, and even learning about her family. The food was delicious, from appetizers and homemade ravioli, to the main course and dessert. An experience we will never forget and would love to try again.

Consuelo WAS/IS the BEST - Consuelo was the BEST! She invited total strangers to her home and we left as friends and better cooks! We made pumpkin ravali, macaroni and spaghetti with meatballs. We had to use Google Translate but it was no problem at all. She was always keeping us up to date using What's Ap. Here home is warm and friendly and we would definitely recommend Consuelo if you are ever in the Port of Messina.

Great host, Viator fail. - The host was exceptional. And her mother seemed so sweet. The food was amazing as well as the view from her lovely home. Would recommend. Viator on the other hand was a nightmare. They did not give proper instructions and if it wasn’t for the hosts diligences, we would have never been able to do this tour. I would find a way to contact your host the day prior!

Absolutely the best! - This was the best day we’ve spent during our European trip. If you are lucky enough to have Consuela C. As your host, you will have an absolutely fabulous day. Highly recommend! We had 3 generations at her home and it was enjoyed by all.

wonderful experience - We Loved our cooking experience. The family was so welcoming. Their home is amazing with spectacular views. The food was delicious. It was a pleasure to meet most of the family and share stories. Thank you for hosting us! We highly recommend. They do speak great English which was helpful.

Beautiful family and beautiful food! - Rossella prepared us a fabulous meal at her home and it was amazing! Both Rosella and Guisepe made us right at home and their cousin FiFi was so sweet and amazing. Bravo!! Highly recommend a cesarine experience!
