Excellent tour of picturesque towns - Elisa did a great job on this wonderful tour. The bus was large and very nice with good air conditioning and usb plugs. There was a 1 hour drive to Castelmola that was fully narrated and she gave us almond cookies to try and cartons of water. When we got there we had to go up about 50 steps to reach the small town. We had 45 minutes to explore on our own and got a free sample of almond wine. After that it was a short drive to Tiormina and we had a 45 minute guided tour through the town and then about 2 hours on our own to get lunch and explore. The town is very cute and we walked down to the garden. After that we drove back. Great tour!

La Dolce Vita - This was a beautiful excursion with bus service from the cruise port. We had an expert driver who navigated the winding turns leading to Castelmola and a wonderful guide Elisa who gave us the highlights of everything we were seeing. We had plenty of free time in both Catelmola and Taormina to discover the local shops, restaurants and sights. A fabulous day!

Castelmola was worth it, great day trip overall - Castelmola is worth the trip, even more beautiful and peaceful than Taormina. Taromina was nice but very busy and long lines for anything including funicular. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly, we enjoyed the tour with lots of free time. Sitting in a cafe overlooking the mountains in Castelmola was the highlight of this tour for us. Fair amount of walking up hill in Taormina from where the bus drops you of so be prepared and where you have a buffet lunch. Lunch was ok but deserts where covered with a city of flies so we passed on dessert. Great trip well worth it, we were 5 and all enjoyed it.

Must see if visiting Sicily - We visited Taormina for about 4 hours, coming from Syracuse. All highway. Once there, if you go by car, it is essential to go to the public parking, huge, with 7 floors. The views are extraordinary, both to the coast (Naxos) and to the mountain (Etna). Once in the village you have to walk its streets, full of luxury shops and restaurants. And of course, visit the Roman (or Greek) theater with extraordinary views. There are more things to do, but we must discover them. For dinner we went to Naxos and ate extraordinary seafood and fish, especially swordfish; Uff! Since then the views are also extraordinary.

Beyond pleased! - Elisa was our guide, Giulia joined her, and Giovanni was the driver. Elisa was extremely knowledgeable and delivered the history in a very engaging manner. Giovanni's driving skills were constantly tested, and he met every challenge masterfully. Two of our family members had difficulty navigating the steep stairs, and Elisa found a way for them to join us. I highly recommend this excursion!

Subpar experience - Taormina is beautiful but we felt the tour was subpar. Sabrina was knowledgeable but she was difficult to understand and she talked a lot without stopping to ask for questions. She also dragged the tour way too long in Taormina which left not enough time for exploring the city. It was ironic that she kept suggesting things to do in our “free time” but by the end, we had only about 1.5 hrs to do anything.
