  • Valle Del Bove - The first stop will be the viewpoint of the Valle del Bove, a large horseshoe-shaped volcano-tectonic depression located in the eastern sector of Etna, it is very important from a volcanological point of view as several outcrop along the walls. On fine days the view is breathtaking.
  • Crateri barbagallo - A very important stop is the Barbagallo crater at an altitude of about 3000 meters. Going up along the sandbanks, you will reach a lava flow channel dating back to the 2002 eruption. Going up the channel, you will arrive at the effusive mouth of the same eruption. we will continue towards Torre del Filosofo (2920 meters) along the recent still hot lava flows (21-05-2023). After the lunch break we will walk along the edge of the Barbagallo crater admiring the summit craters and the entire eastern coast of Sicily, from Taormina to Syracuse.
  • Mount Etna - After the walk on the edge of the Barbagallo crater, before starting the descent, we would have the opportunity once again to admire the summit craters of Etna, Central Crater and South-East Crater, with their inevitable plume of gas.

Etna - It was an incredibly big and different experience. The guide was good at explaining, without it became the big storytelling. The trip was also not physically hard as we feared, but we just got the pulse up. There were many small stops, so when we got the pulse up, it didn't last too long. At the small stops there was often an incredibly beautiful view, and there was plenty of time to get taken pictures and enjoy the experience. There was a sewing in the shoe, which had gone up, so there came many stones into the inside of the rent shoe, which of course was incredibly uncomfortable. But overall an experience that we will definitely recommend to others.

Unforgettable - Etna is certainly a must-see destination if you visit Sicily! The beauty of the landscape is indescribable, unique and seems to walk in a black desert... The excursion with our guides Antonio and Riccardo made our experience special with their deep knowledge of the territory, availability and sympathy! We recommend everyone an excursion with the Etna Sud Alpine Guides!

Consigliato alla grande! - Leaving Turin we made a magnificent four-day trek among the Refuges of the Etna Park. On June 24, as the last stop, with the Gruppo Guide Alpine Etna Sud we climbed to the summit craters: an incredible spectacle of nature and an unforgettable experience. Everything was perfect. We had as Guide Nino, a number one, nice and very, very prepared. He carefully followed the group and made interesting the visit and the trek at high altitude enriching them with many descriptions about the history of the 'Mountain', and its environment. When work is done with passion and enthusiasm it is recognized by everyone. Thanks again Nino to you and colleagues! Roberto (with Anna and Marco)

With guides wonderful day - Mount Etna is something that only climbing it you can understand. A monument of nature that does and will always do what it wants. It looks like another planet. Our Guide (Joseph Vote 10) was a valuable resource for explanations, peculiarities and a deep knowledge of the volcano.

Etna experience - I hike a lot, but climbing style mountains is different. Was spicy at times. It was worth it!! Recommended, enough time to take pictures and rest. Guide Luciano a very nice quiet man, English explanation. Crater up and down and up again. Then the descent with lava grit (like walking through the dunes with lots of sand). In summer, a jacket on the mountain is not necessary. During our tour 4 craters were active so not all the way up with the buses. Up the cable car though. As a nice keepsake a poster with the route.
