Additional Information
EtnaGrantour is designed for individuals who seek to have the most comprehensive visit possible within a single day. While most Etna tours are of half-a-day duration covering just one side, Etna Grantour offers a unique opportunity to explore three sides of Etna Park, starting from Etna villages and reaching an elevation of close to 2000 meters. In the morning, you’ll engage in trekking for about 2/3 hours on the trails of Etna park. After the exertion of this hike, you are certainly entitled to a pause, to recuperate enjoying local delicacies. Come afternoon, we will venture on an off-road 4x4 safari adventure on rugged terrains.
The tour encompasses:
- Viewing the stark lava lands from both ancient and recent deposits
- Observing the pioneering and native flora of the lava fields
- Witnessing tourist spots destroyed by volcanic eruptions
- Checking out dormant side craters with a control panel
- Taking in the grandeur of the Valle del Bove caldera
- Exploring a volcanic lava flow cave (lava tube)

Awesome tour! - We had a tour with Antonio. Very knowledgeable, very nice guide! We learned a lot about the volcano and just had a great time. We spent twelve days on Sicily, but this day was the best by far!

Wonderful! - We took a private Etna Grantour on 21 July 2022 with our guide, Antonio. We had an absolutely wonderful experience! With the Grantour you will do a trekking on the Etna, a jeep tour, a visit of a lava tunnel and have an excellent lunch with a selection of local products and (of course) very nice wines. Our guide Antonio was wonderful, very pleasant company and very knowledgeable about the Etna, it’s history and the local flora and fauna. Visiting Etna with a guide such as Antonio is really a must - you will see so much more that you will otherwise either miss or won’t realize is there. We can highly recommend!

Great - We had a great experience on the grand tour with Luca. We booked the tour last minute and they were very accommodating sorting it out for us and helping us out. Luca had a lot of information to share and a good sense of humor so the whole time was very easy going.

Unforgettable - One of the highlights of our Journey to Sicily. Our fabulous guide Piera walked us on the black hills of the volcano, supplied a great lunch at the company's agritourism, and drove us on impossible roads to appreciate wonderful views. Piera is extremely knowledgeable about the volcano, local culture and history and made our experience unforgettable.
I was there with my sporty son of 19 and my elderly mom of 82. Piera was able to tailor-make the visit so that it was enjoyable for everyone.
I only have great things to say - I highly recommend the tour!
