Vineyard Walk
The tour will start with a walk across urban vineyards nestled between Catania and Etna. Its a unique urban trekking along rare dry-stone made buildings, a urban forest and an olive grove. If you come with children I will give them their own treasure map . Bring comfortable closed- toes shoes.
Palmento Visit
Back from the field, you will discover our 18th century Palmento (traditional Sicilian winery), that is among the largest and best preserved in the area, still equipped with its large chestnut wood barrels and the grape pressing machine dating 1790. A rare jewel to be seen! Here you will also hear of some family from our ancestor’s diaries.
Wine Tasting Journey
The tour will finish with a tasting experience on contemporary Etna culinary landscape. You will taste wines from 4 different wineries around the vulcano, each paired with a gourmet bite prepared by our resident chef Leonardo, to finish your day relaxing in our courtyard or the garden looking at Etna

Etna Urban Winery offers a distinctive wine tourism experience. Nestled in a natural setting on Etna, amidst the expanding city, we’ve chosen to revive our family’s historic Etna viticulture—a decision that goes against the trend in an area increasingly filled with new buildings and facilities.
Our passion stems from a love for our family property, which has been in our family for eight generations, and a desire to demonstrate that alternative land use is both possible and practical, even in the city’s outskirts that still maintain the essence of a typical Etna lava field.
You can explore the vineyards at your own pace via the self-guided vineyard trail. Take your time to enjoy the walk, pause at scenic viewpoints, and learn from the information boards. Immerse yourself in the austere ambiance of our Palmento, a historical winery dating back to 1790, which remains largely in its original condition.
Lastly, indulge in our cuisine! Our resident chef, Leonardo, is eager to take you on a culinary journey across the four slopes of Etna, featuring four wines paired with four gourmet bites.
