We arrive at the bottom of the craters, the origin of the most significant volcanic eruption of recent years on the northern slope of the mountain. We traverse the stream stemming from these side craters, following an impressive trail paralleling the lava flow tunnel, a profound gorge carved out by the massive molten rock that has encroached upon and partly obliterated the ancient Ragabo pine woodland.
