Very interesting hike! - Very interesting excursion. The landscape is so unusual and it is amazing how soon plants start to colonize the lava. The weather was sunny and we saw a few of the craters. We also enjoyed the tasting session afterwards and bought a few oils and pistachio products

Very interesting excursion - Really interesting hike around a few of the lower Etna craters. Claudio our guide was keen to tell us about the recent and historic vulcanic activities and was an excellent guide in general. We also enjoyed the tastings at the end of the tour and bought a few local produce to bring home. The weather was fantastic- all in all a very good trip

Great Day Trip from Catania with a great host - From the moment were picked up to the time were dropped off, this was a fantastic experience. Our driver was phenomenal: very personable, great humour and sharing lots of information as we ventured up to and returned from Etna. Mt Etna, of course, was remarkable - a sight to behold. And on the return trip, the tastings at the local wine cellar was a delightful experience. Highly recommended.

Special thanks go to our guide Lori, she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and made our day memorable despite the unfortunate weather conditions. She even organised an extra food tasting for us on Mount Etna since we were unable to spend that much time walking around.

Mt Etna and local food & wine - Grazia Peppe for a great day out! Knowledgeable and friendly guide. Plenty of options when arrived at mt etna - we took the cable car and crater guided option and rewarded with great views of the peaks on a glorious day. Wine and food at Enoteca dell etna in Ragalna afterward to sample local wine, meats snd cheeses capped a great day out.

Too Much Time Spent Picking People Up - We had to get picked up first and dropped off last and that used A LOT of our limited time. The tour and tasting was great because the guide did really well. Florence was informative and super friendly. She was personable and made the trip worthwhile. We learned a lot of stuff from her. She drove really well, too. People should have to meet at a central location. I would not recommend this tour because it took so much extra time (3 hours) driving through traffic to pick up people.

False advertising. Read what is actually included - So, although it’s worth going to mt Etna and our guide was very polite and knowledgeable, the description of the tour is misleading. Here is the what you actually get with the 45$: You get picked up from Catania or Taormina and driven to a parking lot with cafes at a certain altitude of the mountain, not where you would really want to stay. Just hundreds of tourists and cafes etc. The only other thing the tour includes is stopping at one of those tourist trap cafes/souvenir shop where you are offered samples of olive oil, marmalade, honey and liquors but it honestly has a very touristy feel to it and it’s obviously not a farm as advertised. Also the tour includes stopping at a cave where you can walk in for maybe 15-20 minutes where the lava had passed a few years back and then driven home. So, with the tour you are basically driven up to the parking lot and told that if you want to actually see the craters, you have to pay 78€! extra for cablecar and bus to take you up. At this point I’m guessing everyone just says what we said: since we’re up here, we might as well. But this is false advertising I regret to say and I just felt like a dumb tourist the whole way through. Etna is beautiful though!!!
