Capri is a must-see. A scenic island with impressive rocks, cliffs and caves. Unfortunately, it is touristy - We booked the day trip from Naples to Capri for Monday, May 6th at instaione.it. Giovanni's advice and helpfulness were perfect. His friendliness, wit and charm, and his high level of competence far exceeded our expectations of the service. We were picked up on time at the agreed location by shuttle and taken to the harbor. From there, guide Dominik and his brother looked after us excellently. We were taken to the island by ferry. Unfortunately, we were not allowed to stand up or go on deck during the crossing. So we couldn't take any pictures despite the great weather. On Capri, everything went exactly to schedule. First by bus to Anacapri, then by cable car up Monte Solaro. 10 minutes for photos and back down again. The lunch on Anacapri in "Le Terrazze" included in the price tasted good. But you had the feeling you were sitting in a train station restaurant. Crowds, noise, hecticness and stressed employees. The groups were swapped every 45 minutes. The food was free. You had to pay for drinks yourself. Of course, as a tourist you want to try a limoncello. But then later you're surprised by the bill of €12.50 per glass. After dinner we took the bus back to Capri town. Here we had 1 hour at our disposal. It's really worth seeing, but it's overcrowded with tourists and that's out of season. Afterwards we treated ourselves to a private boat tour to see the island from the water. It was really impressive and you should definitely do it. The rocks, cliffs and grottos are amazing. Back on land, we were led back to the ferry that took us back to Naples. Dominik translated the whole tour into 4 languages, unfortunately not German. But we were able to help ourselves with English. Despite that, we felt extremely well looked after and were happy to have booked the trip. The organization was exemplary and highly recommended.

Excursion to the island of Capri and Anacapri - We loved the excursion and we were amazed by the impeccable organization of the team members and particularly Marlène who put us at ease by speaking in French. She made sure that everything went perfectly well and in our language, although initially everything had to be in English. We would also like to thank Rosella who guided us, originally from the island she knew how to infuse all her warmth and love of the island into her words. The historical anecdotes were very appreciated. Thank you all for your quality work

Capri - Capri was beautiful. We found the starting point without a problem. The van was on time. Tour guides were very good, made sure we were taken care of. The boat ride after (add on) was definitely worth it. The only critique would be that it says you will taste lemongello as if it's it included in the tour but on the way back they ask for 2 euro to taste it. Not much of big deal. Overall a very nice day!

Did not quite deliver its promises - Capri is beautiful (and busy) and we understand the difficulty of coordinating everything in such à context but frankly if I had been aware of all the waiting and lack of clarity I would not have taken this tour, which is not cheap. Madeleine was nice and the natural setting is beautiful but frankly I did not find it pleasurable. We did not even get our tasting of limoncelo by the way.

Underwhelming! - Overall, the trip was disappointing. Communication before the trip was good, however on reflection, the pick up time was too early. I appreciate traffic can be unpredictable but we were waiting around at the port, having arrived at 8.20am when the boat departure time was 9.15am. Unfortunately, there is nowhere to really sit or anywhere enticing enough to get coffee / anything else. Given that the majority of the people in our group were retirees, there appeared to be little consideration of this fact. On arriving to Capri at 10am, we all disembarked, only to get back on the exact same boat 15-20 mins later to do the boat ride which we’d expected to do later in the afternoon. Again, underwhelming and too many people on the boat. The visit to Anacapri was unfortunately a little redundant because it was so cloudy, the view was obscured which was no fault of the tour itself. It meant the chair lift option was not really worthwhile. Lunch recommendation was not particularly inviting and I’d recommend doing a quick Google search and heading to somewhere better. We went to Sciue' Sciue and it was incredible! Following Anacapri, we descended to Capri itself and by this point, we were feeling fatigued with the tour itinerary so did not go to the gardens and opted for free time, albeit this was only an hour. Most of the tour is spent on a boat or on a bus or waiting around breathing in fumes. Gerry and his female colleague (sorry name escapes me), were personable and doing perhaps a rather thankless job at times. Capri overall, in my opinion, is overrated. If the sun had shown its face, perhaps I may have felt slightly differently, but only by a margin. The icing on the cake was the final passenger drop off back in Naples. The vast majority of the group (mainly older retirees) expected to be dropped off by the Naples train station but due to the traffic, the driver thought it was suitable to open the door whilst stood in traffic and let the group out quite a way before the station - again, not accounting for peoples’ mobility needs. Our own drop off also fell short and we were dropped off on a main road opposite Castel Nuovo, no pavement or safe way to cross the road, with speeding traffic zooming past. It was completely inapppropriate and an unsafe place to do a drop off. It felt as if the drop offs were done at the driver’s convenience due to the traffic, as opposed to catering to passengers. It seemed sloppy and lazy. Unfortunate end to an average tour.

Plan to start this trip early in the day. - Beautiful place, but very busy in tourist season. you have to get a very early morning ferry because they book you on a return trip when you buy your ticket over to Capri. So if you don’t get an early morning start you will only have an hour or two in Capri. Not enough time and the boat ride over and back from Sorrento is most of the trip. Which is nice enough too.

Don’t use HP Travel. - Bad experience. Very unorganized and spent most of the day waiting. They combined other tours with different itineraries which caused problems. waited 45 minutes to even start on the island waiting for other tour people to arrive then still was waiting for our bus to even get started. As a result was given only 18 minutes in city of Capri for free time to shop, eat, go to bathroom. Very disappointing. Then they let people from a completely different tour company sit on our bus when we were hurrying back to the port for our boat trip, actually made an extra stop to drop them off somewhere creating more delays when trying to park and then get back out of parking area. As a result we were so late for the boat tour we had to get on quickly and one of our only 15 people was left behind on the dock. He was celebrating his 10-year anniversary and his wife had to go without him on the boat. Then no English spoken on the tour, it was German. Ugh don’t use this company. When we tried to ask questions or express concerns we were ignored.
