After receiving a brief history of the structure - formerly a cavalry barrack - you will then head towards the Mosaic collection situated on the first floor. The piece de resistance here is undoubtedly the Alexander Mosaic, an enormous depiction of the conflict between Alexander the Great and Darius III of Persia.
On the Ground floor, you can’t miss the Farnese Collection with its stunning marble works. Most notable among these are the Farnese Hercules and the Farnese Bull, both of which originally resided in the Baths of Caracalla and are among the most imposing pieces you’ll encounter.
Enrich your visit by viewing the Bronzes from the Villa of the Papyri.
