This tour takes you from Naples City Center (Hotel/B&B/Airport/Port/Station) to Vesuvio, where you’ll have 2 hours to explore on your own. Our driver will drop you off at the entrance of Vesuvio and wait to bring you back to Naples after your visit. We can also drop you off at a different location in town if needed. Our knowledgeable, English-speaking driver will provide a historical commentary on the volcano, giving you a solid introduction before you enter the site.
We offer pick-up services from Naples Airport, Central Train Station, Port, and any hotel, B&B, or private residence in Naples to take you to Vesuvio.
Mt. Vesuvius
You’ll ascend to 3000 feet to enjoy views of Naples and its suburbs. The driver will help you purchase tickets, after which you can begin your adventure climbing to the top of Mt. Vesuvius. You’ll have about an hour and a half to explore this magnificent volcano. Despite its history of violent eruptions, Mount Vesuvius offers stunning views of the surrounding area, which is now a national park. The eruption in AD 79 buried the cities of Pompeii and Ercolano under ash, mud, and lava, causing extensive damage but preserving immaculate artifacts that can still be seen today. This trip up the stratovolcano allows tourists to appreciate both the natural scenery and historical significance.
