This tour takes you from Naples Central train station to the Pompeii Ruins, where you’ll have 3 hours to explore on your own. Our driver will escort you to the entrance of the ruins and wait for you to return, then drive you back to Naples Central train station.
Our knowledgeable, English-speaking driver will provide historical commentary about the site. You’ll have 3 hours to discover this world-renowned ancient ruin, known as “The Survived Town.” Experience the dramatic history of the 79 A.D. eruption of Mount Vesuvius that devastated the town and its inhabitants. See the remnants and casts of a 2000-year-old Roman town. After your visit, we’ll return to the pickup location.
(We highly recommend hiring an expert guide inside the ruins for a more enriching experience. If needed, please mention this in the notes). (OPTIONAL) You can also enjoy a quick Neapolitan pizza lunch after the excursion.
The tour concludes back at Naples Central Train Station, where you can catch your train back to Rome.
