Beautiful day on the Amalfi coast - Antonio was a wonderful guide for our trip down Amalfi coast. He was able to avoid the heaviest areas of traffic so we saw more than expected. He also arranged a beautiful and delicious lunch (all of us agreed our favorite meal in Italy this far) and made sure we had time for a quick trip to Pompeii. Great family memories!

Made Our Trip!!! - Our day trip with Amalfi Coast Day Tours was absolutely phenomenal! We had a seamless pickup from our hotel and were driven around Amalfi, Pompeii and Positano by the lovely Carmine. He gave us great historical facts throughout the drive and was great to just chat with! We also got a private tour of Pompeii by a native, who spoke so passionately about the historical landmark it made us jealous we weren't from there as well. Grace's passion and love for Pompeii was one of the highlights for us! Do not hesitate in using this company for any of your tours!

Great way to see it all - The drive was the most amazing part of this - the winding road with incredible views as far as the eye can see. Also it makes the Amalfi coast accessible. We were able to visit (briefly) Positano, Amalfi and Ravello and see what they each have to offer. Our driver customized our trip for us, so that we spent more time in those places and just about an hour in Pompei. He was incredibly friendly and shared interesting history about each area.

Highly recommended day-trip - It was a truly memorable experience. Our guide Carmine was well organized, knowledgeable, entertaining and super flexible. He made extra stops whenever we wanted and gave us as much time as we wanted to explore the Amalfi coast. For Pompeii, they organized us a private guide (get Grace if you can!) for a very insightful two-hour-tour through the impressive ancient ruins. And pick-up and drop-off in Naples worked perfectly as well. Plus, we were lucky with the weather, considering it was mid-November. It is a great time though to avoid the massive crowds of high season. A highly recommended day-trip.

Pompeii Car Service was great! - John with Pompeii Car Service was fantastic. We was very flexible with what we wanted to see in the Napoli region. He also offered a few recommendations and added an hour stop in Sorrento. It’s definitely worth the money! One word of advice - do your research on what you want to see in the area and they’ll do their best to accommodate. We’re very pleased!

Great experience. Learned so much! - This is a small company and it’s obvious that they want to give a thoughtful and comprehensive experience. We only had one day to do the Amalfi coast and Pompeii, and this was really the only way to do it. Our driver, Francesco, picked us up from our hotel In Naples and gave us an AMAZING guided drive all the way through the Amalfi coast. We stopped to take photos, and for about an hour in amalfi, and 1.5 hours in Positano (enough for lunch), before ending the day at Pompeii.
Don’t be an idiot like me and drink the night before- the road up amalfi has a lot of twists and turns...beware if you get carsick. Francesco is an excellent driver, but you should know what you’re in for!
I would HIGHLY suggest paying the extra 120 € for a private tour of pompeii if you’ve never been there. It’s gigantic and has hardly any signage- and we learned so much on the tour (if you’re lucky enough to get Grace as your guide!!) in two hours you can really only see the highlights, but it’s excellent. It’s hot in summer so bring appropriate Clothing- but there are water fill up stations. Going in the afternoon was actually great because it was cleared out of tourists by the time we got there.
The tour cost doesn’t include admission to Pompeii. The guided Pompeii tour (optional), or lunch. Everything else was included. Picked us up at 8, we were back at hotel by about 4:30

Pompeii & Amalfi Coast as good as Peanut Butter & Jelly - As part of our cruise, we opted for the Full day Pompeii & Amalfi Coast as a private excursion. Having done plenty of cruise ship excursions in the past, we really wanted to maximize our time in port and check off our two must see places: Pompeii and Amalfi Coast. This tour did not disappoint and was one of the highlights of our Med cruise. While the price of the private tour may be a little a more than your standard cruise excursion, we found it well worth the investment.
Our guide (Francesco) contacted us prior to the day of our excursion, letting us know that he would be waiting outside the cruise port holding a sign with our name on it. Francesco recommended starting our day at the Amalfi Coast since the traffic can be crazy in the afternoon. We had lunch at one of the towns and then Pompeii later in the afternoon. Our driver (Francesco) arranged for a private guide for the Pompeii (~120 e) which was worth it. Francesco was awesome. Very clean car, and felt safe the entire time as he told us the history of the area and navigated through the curves and turns along Amalfi.
Tips:
- Bring good walking shoes since many of the towns can be quite hilly
- We opted for a quick lunch to take in more of the sights
- Bring ~120 e if you wish to have a private guide for Pompeii (did not see this as an option for booking)
- Pompeii was hot, but having the guide helped focus on the highlights (its so big you could spend a day there)

Fabulous Day out with “Pompeii and Amalfi Coast as a Local” - Fantastic driver/guide - Francesco. Wonderful day on Amalfi Coast followed by tour of Pompeii with Grace. Lots of opportunities to spend time in Amalfi, Positano and Pompeii, enjoy the scenery and have our many questions answered.
Highly recommend this local company from Naples,

Not worth the money - The driver was a very nice person and drove safely. For $600+ for two people, I expected more.
We reserved for 7am but received a last minute note the night before saying the driver would arrive at 9am. While I expressed disappointment over this, I agreed to make the adjustment to our schedule. However, at 7:51 the driver texted and while we would have appreciated to leave earlier originally, we made plans to wake up later and have an extended dinner the night before. Because of the unexpected early arrival, we did not have time to eat breakfast before leaving the hotel. I do not blame the driver as I believe he was misinformed by his management so we carried on, although slightly frustrated and hungry for the first hours of our trip.
As stated, the driver was very nice and did a good job with the road, although he did get into a minor collision with another driver while we were in the car. Luckily, it did not cause delay on the trip and everyone was OK.
Almost all shops and restaurants were closed in Positano when we arrived and so while it was beautiful, there was no shopping to be had and only one option to grab food. We also had to walk significant down and back up hills as the driver could not (or would not, unsure which) drive the vehicle closer to the bottom of the city where he recommended we go.
Our second stop was Amalfi which thankfully had many more shops and food places open, but with only an hour for stopping here you had to make a choice: food or shopping.
The last stop was Pompeii and unfortunately there was no offer for help to secure a tour guide and with only 2 hours, it was definitely impossible to get through anywhere close to the good view of the ruins. We had to be very hurried and didn’t know much about where to go or what to do so we winged it.
Again, I want to emphasize the driver was very nice, but there was no help for recommendations for food to eat when we did stop, and with so little time, we forfeited eating most of the day in order to stick to a tight schedule. He was very kind and unexpectedly gave us a large water bottle to share after Pompeii that was very refreshing.
Overall, I think you are better off to rent a car and do this drive yourself.
