An excellent tour of Pompeii! - Our Naples to Pompeii day was excellent. Our driver was timely, had a sign at the port and drove us directly. However he did not speak or understand English. I contacted Viator and our guide Josephine answered that she was waiting for us. Josie was so passionate about Pompeii and made our private tour for 15 interesting and fun. Very professional and her knowledge of Pompeii, the rooms and art so well explained.

Great Private Tour of Pompeii! - Highly recommend this private tour of Pompeii. We were on a cruise stop and didn't want to do an excursion w/ the cruise line (and large groups) so we did this private tour. It was fantastic! Our kids (aged 13-16) loved it as well. It was easy to meet the driver at the cruise port terminal and we had him drop us off at a pizzaria that was within walking distance to the cruise port on the way back so we could get some Napoli Pizza then walked to the ship. It was great!

100% yes! - Romolo was our guide and he was nothing short of awesome! So many ‘fun facts’ that big tours didn’t get. I highly recommend booking this private tour as we saw many small and big tours with a guide speaking into a microphone and the visitors listening through an earpiece. This private tour allows for great conversation with the guide!

We LOVED This Tour of Pompeii! - We took our family of 9 (6 adults and 3 children: 13, 9, 7) on this tour and it was tremendous. Our guide, Romolo, couldn't have been better. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and was great at keeping the young ones engaged, too. Romolo was also very good at navigating our private group around the particularly large crowds and other larger groups. It was very hot the day we toured, and Romolo did a great job of keeping us moving and finding shady spots for more in-depth explanations of the site. My wife and I had visited Pompeii once before 17 years ago, but Romolo showed us sites and gave us information we hadn't seen or known before. The tour operator was also very responsive to our communication after booking but before the tour, as we had to arrange to be picked up at the Naples train station. Pompeii is certainly a must-see for anyone going to the Naples/Sorrento area of Italy and we highly recommend this tour through Viator.

A wonderful tour of Pompeii - This is one of the most enjoyable and wonderful tours I’ve ever taken the tour guide, was enthusiastic, pleasant, wonderful and very knowledgeable. I cannot recommend him enough truly a wonderful day.

Do not use this tour company - Our guide was excellent. Our vip transport was a tiny private vehicle which smelled. The driving was borderline reckless.
