Good combo of two sights - Nice trip and a good combo of the itinerary. Only tour who combines Herculaneum and Vesuvius in one day. A bit of a last minute change of departure time and location, but otherwise smooth pick up. It would have been nice if electronic tickets would have been emailed before we left home to be printed out and not the day before as we had trouble with internet and our phone sometimes. It turned out that we had almost 4 hours for Herculaneum not just two, which included time for lunch in the city nearby. NOTE, No meals available in Herculaneum, just vending machines for ice cream and drinks. We traveled mostly in a 50 seater bus. We were transferred to a 20 seater bus for the drive up Vesuvius and the driver told us where to find him later and at which two possible times. He was on time and easy to find. Climbing Vesuvius is hot and dusty, and sometimes very steep on a pebble road with no shade, but well worth it. The crater is huge, larger then it appears on images. Great view over the whole bay. Drive back to Naples with the transfer to a larger bus was smooth and well organized and after a quick drive back the drop off was easy as well.

Once in a Lifetime - I had high expectations for the sites themselves and wow were they met! Beautifully preserved Pompeii, and great views from Vesuvius. In terms of the company, they had great communication and even asked if we would like to see Herculaneum at the end of our tour for free, as the other guests in our group were going. Herculaneum was definitely worth the visit as it was even better preserved than Pompeii. This trip is essentially a driver and the entry tickets, there isn't much guidance once you get to the sites but they also gave plenty of time to walk around the sites yourself and get the most out of your visit.

Half day tour isn't nearly enough - There had been heavy rain for the last couple of days which meant that the Vesuvius park was closed. The tour company reached out and we agreed to postpone the trip a couple of days. When I could not delay any longer, they said that I could either have the same Pompeii guided tour with no refund, or I could have a full day at Pompeii with no guide and no refund. I opted for the former - we paid for a full day and got no refund. The tour guide was interesting and spoke good English. Understandable and knowledgeable, he spent three hours leading our group of about 12 through several of the more interesting parts of Pompeii. There's obviously a lot to see here and three hours doesn't do it justice but it was useful to have a guide. The pickup and return to our hotel went smoothly with a good driver in a comfortable 7-seat Mercedes van. I understand that weather impacts things and that's out of anyone's control, but a full day is a full day, not a half day.

Disappointed by a 2nd rate tour to a first rate destination. - Ok, it was raining and that meant the track to the crater of Vesivius was closed, but this tour was mediocre throughout. We really didn’t want to visit a cameo showroom or have a mediocre pizza lunch. The guides English was also ‘not so good’. Not great value. Pompeii however is definitely worth a visit (a whole day wouldn’t be wasted).

Pompeii is amazing. Do it on your own - This wasn’t the actual trip. I was notified before that the excursion of hiking was cancelled due to inclement weather despite being sunny and 55. The Mountain weather was different I was told. So I selected the option to do a guided Pompeii. Pompeii itself is one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen. I recommend it to anyone visiting. It’s a must see. However, I recommend you do your own audio tour and explore on your own because unfortunately our guide was useless. We booked an English speaking tour and the gentlemen clearly spoke very poor English. He answered our questions with clearly incorrect statements not even CLOSE to the question. I Ended up walking around not even listening and taking my own photos and enjoying the sights the city had to offer, which was amazing

Horrible description and coordinate of tour - Horrible description and coordinate of what the tour is actually about and the details. It states from the time the pick up in front of star hotel terminus. To receive an email the day before, after the 24 hour window to cancel for a refund is over, to let you know that it may a bus stop, on the other side of the hotel. All the tickets were email the day before, when I was already in Italy with limited WiFi. No one was there to at least present us with the tickets, instructions or show how the day would be.
