• Fungo Di Lacco Ameno - The island tour takes you in an anti-clockwise direction around its perimeter, ensuring the sea is always on your right. After passing through Casamicciola Terme and learning about the first historical spa location in Ischia, our first stop is for a photo at the famous “Fungo” of Lacco Ameno. This unique “green tuff” boulder, with its distinctive shape, sits in the sea right off the coast of this beautiful tourist center on the island of Ischia.
• Baia di San Montano - After capturing the Mushroom of Lacco Ameno, we will stop at the renowned Bay of San Montano, the most Caribbean-like bay on the island. This bay is surrounded by lush vegetation and pristine nature. From our vantage point, we can also get an aerial view of one of Ischia’s most famous thermal parks, Negombo.
• Punta Caruso - Traveling through the smallest municipality on the island, Lacco Ameno, we then pass through the largest, Forio d’Ischia. Along the way, we visit the island’s most beautiful and famous Botanical Garden, La Mortella, and stop at one of the most stunning viewpoints, Punta Caruso, for a memorable photograph.
• Chiesa del Soccorso - While in Forio, we must stop at the magnificent Church of Soccorso, the most beautiful and renowned church on the island. Popular for weddings, this extraordinary church overlooks the sea and serves as a landmark for fishermen.
• Sant’Angelo - After Forio, we enter the municipality of Serrara Fontana, where we make our longest stop at Sant’ Angelo. This charming fishing village and pedestrian tourist spot by the sea is like an island within an island, reminiscent of Positano.
• Belvedere di Serrara - Following our visit to Sant’Angelo, we ascend to the upper part of Ischia, about 400 meters above sea level. Here, we pause for a photo of the stunning Isolotto di Sant’ Angelo (Torre) from above and enjoy an aperitif or coffee at a local bar. The tour then continues towards Fontana, another inhabited area in the hilly part of Ischia.
• Maronti Beach - After crossing Serrara Fontana, we enter Barano, the last high municipality before returning to the main municipality of Ischia, our starting point. In Barano, we stop for a photo shoot at Maronti Beach, the most beautiful and famous beach on the island.
• Castello Aragonese - After the Belvedere dei Maronti, the tour concludes. You can choose to return to the starting point or be dropped off in the historic village of Ischia Ponte, 2 km from the Port of Ischia. Here, you can spend time exploring the most picturesque and historic village on the island and visit the Aragonese Castle, considered by the New York Times as one of the 10 most beautiful castles in the world.
