- Naples - Sample itinerary beginning in Naples. Pick-up from Station/Port/Airport or your Hotel and return to Naples. Pick-up at: 08:30 heading towards Pompeii ruins, travel time around 30/40 minutes. - Pompeii Archaeological Park - Arrival at Pompeii excavations around 09:00 am. Enter the ruins to admire the ancient square and forum of Pompeii, where commercial negotiations, elections, speeches, and processions took place during Roman times. As you explore, marvel at the ancient limestone columns still standing today and capture scenes that have endured through the centuries. Continue to the spa, where many citizens of the time spent their days bathing and chatting before the eruption. Walking along Via degli Augustali, discover the Lupanare, the ancient pleasure house of Pompeii. This two-story building with five rooms on each floor is adorned with some of the most fascinating and sensual frescoes in the city. Duration: 2 hours. - Campania - Arrival at the vineyard around 12:00 for a relaxing lunch featuring typical Neapolitan cuisine and wine tastings at a prestigious winery on the slopes of Vesuvius. Tasting Menu: Appetizer with local products: salami, capocollo, provolone, salted ricotta, casatiello, roasted aubergine, carrots, bruschetta with Piennolo cherry tomatoes. Durum wheat spaghetti with Piennolo cherry tomato sauce and basil. Neapolitan pastiera made with ricotta, wheat, and candied fruit. Price of lunch not included. Duration: approximately 2 hours. - Pompeii - At around 11:30 am, meet at the exit of the excavations and travel towards the Vesuvius panoramic road to reach a beautiful vineyard at the foot of Vesuvius, travel time approximately 20 minutes. - Naples - Departure from the restaurant at around 01:30 pm and return to Naples to the same pick-up location. Travel time approximately 30 minutes.

Pompeii & Wine Tasting at Mt. Vesuvius with Paolo - On June 6, 2024 our family had the most amazing day visiting Pompeii and and then enjoying lunch and wine tasting at the foot of Mount Vesuvius. Our driver was Paolo. He was so much fun, had a fabulous sense of humor, very engaging with all of our family and very knowledgeable. When we go back to the Naples area, we will definitely use Paolo again!!
