Great experience ! - This was such a great experience ! I loved how we were able to feed , brush , care for and bond with the horses before we even rode them. This to me showed the respect the team had for the horses. The horses were healthy and well taken care of. Our tour guide Alessia was very personable , knowledgeable, kind and outgoing. We loved her personality and genuine care overall. Thank you to the team as well!

Awesome Horse riding Experience - I did the horse ride with picnic. It was a full day- almost 7 hours and it was awesome! The people made it the best experience. It was like hanging out with my new Italian local friends for the day. Super relaxing and they made me feel so welcome. A great change to the sightseeing in the city and I’d do it again for sure!

Perfect for all experience levels - I've been on top of a horse 3 or 4 times in my life. My wife has been riding horses for 20-odd years. We both had an absolute blast riding with Alessia. Every other time I've ridden, it was clear that the horse was going to do what its trainers had taught it to do regardless of what I did. But not this time. Alessia taught us the basics really well, and I could tell that I had real influence over what my horse was doing. It was a pleasant surprise and a lot of fun.
As you can probably imagine, my wife also really loved being able to control her horse. But while I was taking it pretty slow, my wife and her horse were allowed to go off and gallop across the Italian countryside for the last few minutes of the ride. To put it in perspective, after 10 days in Rome, Naples and Sorrento, I asked my wife what her favorite part of our trip was, and this was her answer.
PS, the lunch afterwards was fantastic. Get the carbonara and weep over the feeble imitation served at American restaurants. And the honeyed ricotta? So good.

Enchanting Horseback Ride Marred by an Unexpected Ending - I embarked on the “Picnic on Horseback in Rome” tour with high expectations, lured by the promise of stunning nature and delectable Roman cuisine. The tour began wonderfully, with our guide Alessia providing a five-star experience. Her knowledge, passion, and kindness created an atmosphere that was both educational and enjoyable as we traversed the breathtaking landscapes of the Riserva Naturale Statale del Litorale Romano.
The horseback riding experience was superb, catering to all skill levels, and made for a delightful escape from the city’s hustle. Alessia was the perfect host, ensuring everyone was comfortable, safe, and engaged.
However, the experience took a confusing turn when, contrary to the description, there was no picnic. Instead, Alessia’s husband led us to a local restaurant and left without explanation. The restaurant staff, seemingly more focused on the local police eating there simultaneously, left us feeling unwelcome and uncertain of the itinerary. The absence of clear communication was concerning, especially when it became evident that we were stranded without a pre-arranged return to the train station. The resulting inconvenience of arranging and paying 60 euro for our own Uber back to Rome, especially in inclement weather and at an additional significant expense, was not only unexpected but also quite distressing.
While the day started as one of the best tours, with Alessia’s outstanding guidance, it ended on a sour note. I would advise future participants to seek clarity on the day’s full itinerary, particularly regarding transportation arrangements after the horseback riding portion. Despite the enchanting ride, the oversight in planning and hospitality needs addressing to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish.

Great time horseback riding - We had a WONDERFUL time on our horseback riding trip! Alessa was great! She walked alongside my 7 year old who rode. We loved getting to spend time feeding and grooming the horses. The whole group and instructors were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a memorable adventure!

Hart's in Rome - My husband and I booked our trip through Viator, our host picked us up with the other guests on time and escorted us from the train station to the stables. She was incredibly fun to work with and gave solid direction on the steps we would be taking to get the horses ready to ride. Once we were all ready she helped those that needed it onto their horses and off we went! The ride was beautiful and the weather was perfect, our guide showed us some great historical spots and had expert knowledge on the history of the region. 100% would do this again!

Bad organisation to start but the the ranch and horses was a good experience - Let's start with the good parts. The ranch experience was lovely, we got to feed and brush the horses. It was nice to be up and close to bond with them before the ride. Prepare to get dirty, no clean shoes or hands 🤣 lovely cats also on thr ranch, very friendly. We were beginners, so went for a ride around the forest, it was beautiful.
We travelled by public transport (which is easy, so don't be put off) to the meeting point. We got there for 9.45am, to meet for 10am. We didn't have signal to contact why no one was turning up, luckily there was another 3 people that were also joining us that managed to call, we eventually got picked up and taken to the ranch at 11.10am (over an hour late to collect and tried to say they were there at 10am but couldn't see anyone)
We had evening plans so missed out on the lunch that was included as we had to go for our train (this was at 2.30pm and missed out due to the late start)
The horses were lovely to meet and I would recommend an experience like this. Just the organisation of the travel puts me of slightly.
Thank you for letting us meet the horses and ride!
