Great Way to Meet Locals - We were hosted by Jenny (Eugenia), our chef, and her husband Mauro at their lovely home. They are very welcoming and engaging. We learned how to make several typical Piedmontese dishes and then eat the dishes with nice local wine and fine lemoncello. This is a great way to meet locals while touristing.

In the home cooking experience! - Benedetto was the most gracious host! From the tour through the Merchantile to the Fresh Farmers Market—everything was explained with appreciation for the product and great knowledge for the many ways to prepare. In her home, we prepared fresh pasta, bruschetta and tiramisu, along with many appetizers for our very special lunch, where her mother, Louise joined us to share in the conversation and share family recipes. This was the most memorable experience—I highly recommend this to anyone who wishes to immerse themselves in a real Italian kitchen and better understand the passion they share with food and its preparation.

My cesarina was amazing! Food was delicious - I had my Cesarina experience on a sunday so the market was closed. I was offered to make an additional pasta instead of the market. I accepted. I was also asked to change times due to other participants in the group, and then when I arrived at the new time, it was only me in the group. So I am deducting a star for this. I paid a rather pricey penny for this class, and for these two inconveniences I could have been offered a partial refund or to do another day. Also because we made tiramisu for dessert, which isnt local to Torino. They should be allowing the chef's to decide what is on the menu. Because locally, people in the Piedmonte region do not make tiramisu as a typical dessert. Usually they have panna cotta or bonet. I had my experience in Eugenia Jenni's home, and I would give her 10 stars if I could. Both her and her family were wonderful. Their home is lovely. And I loved everything we made. She even hand wrote the recipes on beautiful parchment paper for me to take home. An amazing experience!! Tip: When you complete the survey that Cesarina sends you before the class, tell them you want to make Piedmontese cuisine, which means something different that tiramisu! You can make tiramisu in every other italian cooking class. And request Eugenia Jenni!
