Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi - Just outside Turin, there are several remarkable destinations to explore, such as the Hunting Palace of Stupinigi. Constructed in the 1730s based on Juvarra’s design, it is arguably his masterpiece. The palace’s exterior has been meticulously restored, while the interior remains as opulent as ever, featuring the Museo d’Arte e Ammobiliamento, a collection of art and furniture from other Savoy palaces. Please note, Stupinigi Castle is closed on Mondays.

Sacra di San Michele - This imposing fortified abbey is perched atop a rocky hill. To reach the church, visitors must ascend 150 steps, passing 12th-century sculptures from the Porta dello Zodiaco, a magnificent Romanesque doorway adorned with zodiac signs. Inside, the left side features 16th-century frescoes depicting New Testament themes, while the right side illustrates the church’s founding. Be aware that some parts of the abbey are only open on weekends, and during busy times, visits may be restricted to hour-long tours. Weather permitting, the views from the surrounding walls and terraces are stunning. In snowy conditions, access to the Sacra di San Michele is not possible, and the tour guide will recommend an alternative itinerary.
