- Chocolate7 - Next, explore how local chocolatiers have crafted cocoa for our enjoyment. From bean to bar, the tasting is 100% organic and made from fine cocoa. Sample a variety of traditional chocolates such as Gianduiotto, Cremino, and a seasonal praline. The name Gianduiotto is derived from Gianduja, which is created by blending finely ground hazelnuts with chocolate, usually milk chocolate, to produce a smooth and indulgent treat. This recipe originates from Turin, the capital of Italy’s Piedmont region.
Gianduja has an intriguing history dating back to the 19th century when cocoa was scarce and costly.
The chocolate tasting will continue with premium dark chocolate made from Criollo cocoa. Criollo accounts for only 10% of the world’s cocoa production. The live guide will share stories about each tasted item and provide recipes and interesting facts.
- Bistrot Turin - Enjoy typical white and red wines from Piedmont, paired with ham and cheese.
