Sacra di San Michele - The Sacra di San Michele is a formidable fortified abbey perched atop a rocky hill. To access the church, visitors must ascend 150 steps, passing 12th-century sculptures from the Porta dello Zodiaco, a magnificent Romanesque doorway adorned with zodiac signs. Inside, the left side features 16th-century frescoes depicting New Testament themes, while the right side illustrates the church’s founding. Be aware that some parts of the abbey are only open on weekends, and during busy times, visits may be restricted to hour-long tours. Weather permitting, the views from the surrounding walls and terraces are stunning. In snowy conditions, access to the Sacra di San Michele is not possible, and the tour guide will propose an alternative itinerary.

Piedmont, or Piemonte in Italian, translates to ‘at the foot of the mountains’. Turin, the region’s key city, is more than just the automobile hub of Italy and the abode of the Holy Shroud. Ornate Baroque palaces, neoclassical squares, and shops brimming with fashionable items and chocolates have been refurbished with great panache. We are a small group aiming to introduce you to the charm of Turin. Piedmont, a region steeped in history, certainly merits a visit in one’s life. We propose, but the choices of sights and activities ultimately lie with you. Our group is restricted to a maximum of three people to ensure a laid-back, unrushed tour experience.
